This particular message was for Elijah who was zealous for the Lord. He was fleeing from king Ahaz and jezebel.
He heard the heavy wind ..God was not there. Meaning life is not about shouting and screaming to pass a message.
The earth quake....not about destroying things to make a point.
Fire: not about spitting venom. Words that hurt. But sometimes being gentle can achieve a lot(gentle wind) he was told to continue on his journey after being fed...
It was God instructing him using signs....
