The blatant and unpleasant truth is that you guys meant every inch of it but you have to make it look like a "harmless banter." I know how to discern intent when I see one, I didn't spend my 3rd year studying criminal law for nothing. "Mens Rea" is the Latin terminology for the intention behind something. Your actions alone are enough for me to determine your intentions with an 85% accuracy. Call me a mind reader, it's close to something like that.
