Frontline APC governorship aspirant for the Anambra 2025 election, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, has vowed to unseat Governor Chukwuma Soludo, insisting that his administration has brought nothing but pain, sorrow, and insecurity to the state.

Speaking after submitting his nomination forms at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Okonkwo criticized Soludo’s handling of Anambra’s security crisis, arguing that any attempt to grant him a second term would be an injustice to the victims of violence under his tenure.

“We have only gotten pain, sorrow, and agony from Governor Soludo instead of his promise to reproduce Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan in Anambra.

“Why did it take him this long to start addressing insecurity in the state? It is medicine after many deaths, and the spirit of those who lost their lives will not forgive us if we give Soludo a second-term ticket,” Okonkwo declared.

The APC aspirant further dismissed speculations of an agreement between Soludo and the presidency to deliver 25% of votes to President Bola Tinubu in 2027, insisting that the APC must take full control of Anambra rather than settle for a partial victory.

Soludo is a very active governor. I don't see APC unseating him

Rubbish! The only set of people that may vote for these one based on what he's saying and not because they wanted him or APC are those criminals and scammer native doctors that Soludo is giving serious heat and those he have chased out of the state, and one unfortunate thing about it is that those ones are in the minority of 0.1% of the entire voting population. Anambra State is the last State in the Eastern Region for APC to smell with their evil pattern of politics.

Look at their faces.... Hungry and desperate criminals salivating for Treasury to liquidate. APC have wasted a very huge resources trying to steal the State since their formation, but Anambra no be Lagos. On APGAdised SOLUTION Mandate we gallant unalloyedly.

This election is one of the most important election for Labour Party, if they loose this then it's going to massively affect their 2027 chances

How will they explain that Lagos should have Labour party governor and representative but Anambra state of Peter Obi is rejecting same labour party?

It actually took him so long to start acting on insecurity issues in the state. It was the death of that lawmaker that triggered the response.
Thousands of persons has been kidnapped and so many of them killed.
But soludo is still better than whatever apc is promising.

So when they ask animals with horns to appear, the snail too go show face. Have the election numbers changed since 2021 when APC scored 43,285 votes. The Presidential election of 2023 showed APC with a woeful 5011 votes. Maybe Obiora Okonkwo forgot that a party called Labour Party became part of the equation and holds one senatorial seat along with others in the national and state assemblies. The only APC senator was the late Ifeanyi Ubah and he won the election on the platform of YPP. Where is the hope of APC to regain that seat when the popular man there is no longer alive?

Soludo is presently moving Anambra state forward and the decent and peace loving people of Anambra state are very happy with him.

The same people who complained that Soludo was not doing much about security, have turned around to say that he’s witch hunting some people. Soludo told the citizens several times to be bold and get out to work and trade on Mondays. Now that sanity is returning to the state, they accuse Soludo. Without the security measures, Obiora Okonkwo’s United airlines cannot enjoy better patronage. He should thank Soludo.

We are going to vote for APGA this time so that Soludo can continue with his job.

Soludo wasted too much time before he started addressing insecurity in the stare.He is doing well in infrastructure development though and now he has started tackling the menace of insecurity. After weighing other options, I think I will still vote for him.

I only see this as a political blackmail to turn the heart of Anambrarians from Soludo. The same people sponsoring security issues may come openly to discredit the policy of the active administration especially of a governor so loved by his people.

Although Soludo is working, he is not popular. The reason why Soludo will win is that there will low voters turn out, and those who will bother to vote will be mainly APGA faithfuls. APGA had been controlling Anambra for 20 years and is virtually the only party on the ground in the State
