Obi was never regarded as an effective governor.

If you check Nairaland, you’ll see how he was heavily criticized at the time for his poor performance.

His tenure as governor was widely seen as a failure.

The only arguably positive thing he did was amassing nearly ₦100 billion in state funds, despite widespread poverty—funds which he kept in his personal bank, earning significant interest.

People like Ngozi, Osinbajo, Adeshina are exactly the kind of people that would be disasters as presidents.

They are people you appoint o positions and give them the political cover to do their jobs.

Only a gangster, someone not afraid to live permanently on the the line between legality and illegality can effectively run Nigeria. All these technocrats, we like to play by the rules. The problem in a country where 90% of the citizens are criminally minded and lawbreakers is that they will use that same rule of law to derail your government. When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.
