People that have gone for interview?

Does the VO have a POS for payment of the visa fees? Or u would be forced to do it outside the gate.

If one does not have cash. Hope is not an issue?
There is pos, i went with cash and the interviewer said its better to come with card

I haven't gotten appointment yet. I booked on September 2023. What I'm saying is that I have enrolled for Winter semester 2024 and summer semester 2025. I didn't attend any online classes because it's not obtainable in the School. The program I am enrolled in will be in the second semester this coming Summer while I am still here in Nigeria. I applied for a leave of Absence in the Winter semester. The question now is should I apply for another leave of Absence for the 2nd time or should hold onto the enrollment like that. Note the summer is the 2nd semester of my program.

If I get appointment hopefully, what am supposed to do in this kind of situation? @Hannania

Hannania:
You've said it all. That's the best advise.

Alright, took a while to figure out this forum but finally did it, nice to small wins. Okay to the main point....

I booked for student visa around march, 2024. Last I heard the embassy is in 2023 currently, I am not sure what month. My question is... Or rather... My questions are.. please do bear with me since I am clueless but will keep researching on my own but I need others' wisdom and experience.
*I should be expecting my letter from next year?
*This new way of collecting our documents online, it's good but if I don't upload my documents before this year ends, does that mean I am automatically removed from the queue? Because that block account will be tricky especially if they give me a waiting time of a year.
*I don't mind waiting since I am doing things like learning skills and working to keep myself busy! Because I heard 24 months waiting period.
*When should I start looking for schools in Germany??

Thank you so much and those who choose to take some time off their busy schedule to answer me, thank you and God bless. I eagerly await your responses. Thank you again.

Bro, please enrol. They give out one month worth of appointments every week. So by march ending, they'll get it September. Most summer semesters starts in March and April

Start looking for school asap. With the current pace of the embassy, anything can happen between now and winter semester of 2025. So start looking for admission asap. That's your major target now

I just received a visa appointment from the embassy. Since I don't have admission yet, I've opted for a private university that requires €8,000 in total tuition fees. The university allows an initial payment of €2,500 to obtain the admission letter for the embassy.

Here's my question: In addition to the regular blocked account requirement of €11,904, do I need to pay the full tuition fees or add the full amount to the blocked account? Or is it sufficient to have the blocked account of €11,904 plus the partial tuition payment receipt of €2,500?

Has anyone had a similar recent experience who can provide guidance?
Please can you assist me with list of PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES in Germany with fast admission

It is best to pay with card. They have POS with them. The VO who interviewed me yesterday was complaining that counting cash with the machine was stressful. I paid with my debit card.

In my case, my current program is in the 3rd semester and there is no online option. I maintained my enrolment by paying semester fees for all 3 semesters and doing all the other necessary things to maintain my admission cos my school introduced tuition fees immediately after my set were admitted. I think you should speak with your program adviser on the best option for you but note that when you are going to interview at the embassy you must go with a current enrolment certificate that shows your admission is valid for at least the next 4-5 months. I had to provide an enrolment certificate for the summer semester which starts in April in order to be interviewed. They rejected my ongoing enrolment certificate which would expire March 31st.

You will need to do an authentic affidavit for change of name for your birth certificate. Also if you were born before December 1992 and have an NPC birth certificate (the green coloured one), they would likely reject it and ask you to do a declaration of age, backed by your parent or a family member older with 15 years.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by deim98: 5:30pm On Feb 26, 2025
Embassy is currently on June 2023(i think)
I registered April 2024, Currently with the pace it's best to start seeking admission now. cos based on calculations they might enter 2024 this year hopefully. New application for winter semester starts from march or april and afterwards gather necessary documents and funds. If it doesn't come this year, you can always defer or start applying for schools in october knowing for sure early next year you are getting called.

It's nice to see someone who also applied in 2024, the wait is tough but it's gonna be fortunate for us all.

Good evening, please how should I go about my travel health insurance ? I already have Mawista health insurance, I don't know whether that is sufficient or I need another. If Yes, please how should I go about getting another one?
