And millions of innocent people consuming their fake drugs? You guys should shut up
Hate has consumed your common sense. Other sellers who don't sell fake drugs in the same market.

Yes they closed down entire market.

Who told u they refused to turn up. Well nafdac broke into shops at night. What we are saying is open the market for people to sell
If they turn up, NAFDAC will inspect and open their shops.

The rights of 10000 traders cannot be greater than the well being of 240m Nigerians who are at risk of dying because of fake and expired pharmaceutical products.

NAFDAC is a Federal agency outside the remit of a state house of assembly. The resolution passed is pure comedy. Those shops will remain locked.
This is the beauty of the Federal system. You don't get to decide who dies and who lives because you want to open shops.

Let them go for clearance or sit at home.

NAFDAC should not listen to anybody
NAFDAC should not listen to anybody? Would you say same thing if it's in your region or State?

NDLEA discovered large quantum of illicit drugs in ikorodu early 2023. Did the Agency close business activities in Ikorodu and its environs?

The problem with many of you is hate and lack of exposure. So, you think or cogitate unreasonably on issues that impacts on Humanity.

As a woman, you lack empathy and compassion - a vital ingredient that defines womanhood.

You have a long way to go.

Onitsha market should be opened ASAP. You don't punish majority because of few others. Except, there is hidden agenda in the closure.

NAFDAC should not open it unless they finish their assignment, any assembly members that want to die should go ahead.

Will you say same thing if it's your state or region?

Why closing a whole market? The drug section is just 2 to 3 lines of shops while there are over 80 to 100 lines selling different things

This are market where they have to clothing section, building materials section, cosmetic section, foodstuffs station etc. Its a big market...

You can't close down the whole market instead close the affected section of the market.

What has someon who sells vegetables n red oil got to do with this matter that u close down sources of livelihood.
Oho...ask them o,my brother.

There's hidden in all this.

Just to punish the people.

Alas, the country is not united. And can't be united with this bigotry 😭

What is notorious about onitsha drug market our leaders that travel abroad for treatment, do they treat them with drugs that have nafdac number over there , let us call a spade a spade though there are dealers with questionable caracter, it doesn't make all bad.

The way u sit in ur house, type whatever u like just because u aren't affected. Think deeply if where u are working was sealed up and getting to one month now nothing to eat n u have over 7 to 8 people in the family.

The traders turn up only to be chased away by security men. This is not good. Rather they should search individual shops then reopen them quickly because they are not dealing in drugs.

Example are the market in aba where they locked the main entrance of the market. Then they left the little entrance like the backyard open
Now customers cannot access the market. Traders who sells complain that customers dont know the back entrance.

The whole issues should be treated with consideration of people who are passing through a lot.

Now the drugs line. The whole shop had been broken into by nafdac. Nafdac went at night to break the whole shops and evacuated drugs.

Now since u have broken all shops in drug line. Why not call the traders and go shop by shop to search in other lines. Mind u this shops are not big. Just some foot wide.

Everything you are saying here is on the table. Let the traders go to market open their shops for inspection.

Simple.

If expired drugs can be found in plumbing line, they can be found ANYWHERE in the market.

In 2019 NAFDAC officials and police were stoned out of that same plumbing line. Now we know why.

I do not understand how anyone can place the interests of traders over that of innocent Nigerians all over the country being killed by expired or badly stored drugs.

The lawmakers, who passed the resolution during the plenary session on Tuesday, said [b]the closure of the market had put the livelihood of at least 10,000 traders, apprentices, and their dependants in danger.

You see the hypocrisy and mediocrity played by this people from the East...

The livelihood of 10,000 traders, apprentice and dependants in danger !!!!!

What is that number to the number of persons who these fake and counterfeit drugs will buy these drugs that destroys lives.....who is in much more danger the seller or the buyer?

That is the same people who killed their sister, Aunty Dora when she was the NAFDAC boss.

Where was this NA when they were doing Mondays sit at home; were their lives not in danger then for not going to businesses on those days for the duration it lasted?
