South-East, South-South Professionals Tell Oduah To Quit by ballabriggs: 8:07am On Oct 30, 2013 |
• Quit, S’East, S’South professionals tell minister Earlier on Monday, the South-East and South-South Professionals Forum had called on Oduah to step aside in the face of mounting protests over her role in the purchase of the bulletproof cars. It expressed disappointment over the scandal rocking the Aviation industry which is under Oduah’s watch. The forum’s President , Emeka Ugwu-Oju, spoke at a stakeholders’ meeting organised to marshal their position on the national dialogue in Benin, Edo State. Ugwu-Oju said, “We are not saying she is guilty but for what has happened in the ministry under her watch, it is clear the ministry could afford such money for some frivolous purposes. It is a wrong thing to do and somebody has to take responsibility. “We are of the view that the current minister of aviation should go. She is going not because she is found culpable but we are looking at the overall picture of values. “The honourable thing for her to do is to step aside and go.” http://www.punchng.com/news/n255m-car-scandal-finally-jonathan-moves-against-stella-oduah/ 4 Likes |

Sometimes I wonder, "will Stella not be replaced by another Igbo person even from the same state if she is sacked??... Why is the issue of switching one Igbo minister with another Igbo minister becoming an inter-tribal battle??..... It doesn't take much more than common sense to understand that all the politics in this case is just by Stella to retain her post... It's unfortunate that a lot of not too smart individuals have fallen for her gimmicks.... Furthermore, for those that say its about the Enugu airport, the last time I checked GEJ is the one trying to fulfil his election promise by fixing the airports, I just wonder why these misguided Oduah apologists are trying hard to sell the farce that without Oduah, GEJ will abandon the airports... 2 Likes |

My take is when she goes, what happens to the probe? what happens to her 'accomplices'? No one seem to be interested in others who would or have benefitted from this scam. Again my question is "is she being targeted by some people or her ministry is the only corrupt one?" I do not mean to say corruption should be condoned because of that. I would also like the whistle blowers to spread their dragnet to other corrupt government and non-government agencies such as some banks demanding bribes before they give employment to people. Corruption must be wiped out from the face of Nigeria. It is really annoying. |

SE/SS activist, can u stop for once with the day dreaming about Stella job. Stella is going no where any time soon. Believe that. There is a rumour that all this mess was caused by documents leaked by a igbo person, though unconfirmed. Igbos are now closing ranks and increasingly speaking with one voice. Anybody stuck in old ways will be left behind. That goes for those of you PROFESSIONAL dreaming of replacing Stella Stella stays.... thread closed. 3 Likes |

The contributions i hv seen ever since the breaking of this news have been those of hate, tribalism and threat. The truth is dat what is bad is bad, yes she is Igbo but does dat make it right to do wrong. Shd a man steal or even embezzle his fathers wealth? Would she/be congratulated becos it'd his fathers'? NO! If she is a party to all these, she is not worthy to represent us the igbos but she shd not be used for sacrifice, let all others go too. All the law makers and almost all the executive need go too. Tired of sentiments. Sanitize Nigeria and lets have peace. 2 Likes |
