Use your common sense! That was unprofessional, how about others who might be on that flight who are not Igbos?
Exactly,right?

I thought so too regarding the lagos Blue-lite rail.
Why should the announcement be only in English and Yoruba while we have three major ethnic languages in Nigeria Lagos being a cosmopolitan city?

This is unacceptable and condemnable. I condemn it, I condemn it. I condemn it.

There are many tribes in that flight, why use igbo.

I call on the Airline to as a matter of urgency sack the pilot now.

The NCAA must investigate this and fine the Airline or face a massive nationwide orotest.

I don't know about that but if what you are saying is true then that is also wrong. I am taking from professional point of view not tribalism.

When you enter a German airline, do you know they do theirs in German and English? The same for France. So, why not. There's nothing unprofessional about it.

Very soon the law will go out. If you cannot speak Yoruba in Lagos to you are not an eligible resident. Shey ori yin daru ni.
So even your Igbo landlord will no longer be an eligible resident?

Na small things like this dey win the heart of Igbos.

Just appeal to their tribal sentiments and they will love you forever.

All these tribal bashings and leg pulling I do on Nairaland, I dare not try it offline.

They are the best customers ever for any business man wey get sense.
This is a nice poem to glorify a coward.

You know they do the same too to other tribes, they even tried speaking your local language so that you can be completely bought over. Good customer, smart businessmen... 😂

I’m not Igbo, but I think this okay… other tribe should face front.
The problem in Nigeria is that we don’t have one language and thus make it hard for local growth within ethnic lines.
If you fly Egypt air, na their language dem dey speak.
If you fly KLM, na their language dem dey speak.
I took Ryan air (UK airline) to Finland, as we dey land ,na Finish dem take make announcement before dem come speak English.
Make we dey encourage ourselves abeg.

MisterGoodness:
Good evening, well-meaning Nigerians; I am typing this post amidst severe pain and serious hunger.

With the current hardship in our dear country, how will a poor but hardworking person like me survive?

I am confused and in trauma.

I am 28 years old and an O.LEVEL holder. I had a car accident five weeks ago and got bedridden as a result of a broken leg that I suffered in the accident.

The car accident threw me into trauma and hunger, as I am unable to go out to hustle for my daily bread as I used to do before.

As I am typing this, I have yet to eat food since morning because I spent the last #60,000 I have on me on medication. I am in Lagos, but my parents are far back in Kwara State, Ilorin, my hometown.

Please, daddies, mummies, and my brothers and sisters on Nairaland forum, please help me; hunger is doing a very deadly work in my body.

I live at No. 34, Araromi Street, Eleko Town, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

If you live close to me and want to visit me, that's my address, and my phone number is 0913 531 0933.

Help me, please. Below are my bank details; please have mercy on me.

Bank: Opay
Account Number: 913 531 0933
Name: Babatunde Sikiru Yisa

May God bless you more and grant you all your heart desires as you help me.

May God turn our situation in Nigeria from its current state to a better state that will bring joy, happiness, and riches to you, me, and all Nigerians. Ameen

Most countries around the world have their unique National language; English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Swedish,...

Why can't African countries work towards having their own unique National languages?
D
Don't mind those crying blood here, if the pilot had used Yoruba, they wouldn't complain.
