I B B share nothing, saying nonsense, if not for Yakubu Gowon [ Go On with One Nigeria] that brought about the end of Nigeria civil war in 1970 would there be a country called Nigeria today? 🇳🇬 I B B go and bury your head in shame as you were the one that started destructive activities in the country during your so called military administration, remember your destruction of June 12 election and the 11 jailed NEPA Men over protest of your saying you don't need to increase Power supply systems productions in Nigeria any more despite people's request for improve power supply systems in the country and you say No. |

DenreleDave:Which history? IBB and some Yorubas say hi!! ..... it's all conspiracy by the Yorubas to sideline Igbo from getting into sensitive political position in Nigeria, most of your people are suffering from inferiority complex and needed something to hold onto to massage the inferiority complex, otherwise suicide rate will be high in Yoruba land, stop using Igbos to massage your inferiority complex, perhaps use something else to massage it, ire o |

The September the 11th, 2001 terrorists attack in New York was 16 out of 20 Saudi citizens. Was it called Saudi attack on US? Even their leader Osama Bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia yet it wasn't called a Saudi attack. What concerns the Igbos civilians with the actions of 0.00000001% military men even if some of them are ethnically Igbos? There were some Yorubas among the coupists, weren't they? DenreleDave: |

ValarDoharis:SO STOP DENYING THAT IT IS AN IGBO COUP THAT KILLED NON IGBOS ONLY AND BROUGHT AN IGBO MAN TO POWER WE KNOW IRONSI PLANNED IT |
| Re: "Gowon’s Failed Promise To Secure Igbos Triggered Civil War" - IBB by ValarDoharis: 2:45pm On Feb 28, 2025 |
You're the only one saying Ironsi planned it. Lets even say Ironsi planned it, who is Ironsi in the grand scheme of Igbos? He is just a soldier, nothing more. He wasn't an elected representative of the Igbos, was he? DenreleDave: |
| Re: "Gowon’s Failed Promise To Secure Igbos Triggered Civil War" - IBB by Babinski: 2:53pm On Feb 28, 2025 |
Racoon:A lot of Nigerians were already tired of the corruption fostered by politicians and saw the coup and its ideals as welcomed. Unfortunately, some Igbo soldiers and politicians like Aguiyi Ironsi, Nwafor Orizu and Nnamdi Azikiwe decided to hijack and take advantage of the coup, triggering situations that eventually led to the Civil War. |

Why are you running? The fact that Ironsi is Igbo does not mean he was elected by Igbos to represent them. If you can show me one Igbo civilian that voted for Ironsi then I'll accept he represented the Igbos DenreleDave: |

masseratti:To start with, where did you get all these information from? Which books did you read about the war? I can recommend some to you. Education is free nowadays, Google can also help you. They met with awolowo in the prison and told him their plans after his cohorts had been eliminated in their various prisons nationwide. He would have been killed too, just like them, had they no plans for him. Think about it. These young soldiers comprised mainly southerners. So, there's nothing like an igbo coup as posited by some enemies of Nigeria, jist to label them with a bad name. Obasanjo also jettisoned these cos they were the young officers who fought in that war. By the way, I just checked my post but couldn't find where you alleged an agreement with awolowo by either party in my post. I never mentioned anything like agreement. Foods sources were seized by dwelling on awolowo's idea. Only Russia defied this by entering the south east via the other borders to feed the malnourished igbos. You don't just accuse someone when you don't have a veritable source to back your claim. Try and be reading books. |

Eriokanmi:what that fuq?which prison did any of them met with Awo.. please post the book you talking about that anyone of them sated they met with Awo in prison,if you can not I have every right to call you what You are,a liar, who were Awolowo"cohorts" that were killed in which prison.. please state time and date please, Russia in 1966 to 70 when they were having issues of Gorbachev had nothing to do with both sides of Nigerian army nor Biafra army,France mercenaries were the one supporting Biafra mind you and they didn't feed anyone. I ask again how come Biafran Soldiers were well feed but the children were having kwashiorkor? Av u asked yourself where those soldiers were getting food from? Av you asked yourself why those soldiers will allow those children go hungry while they hijacked food material been sent to civilians. This is a common thing is all war front. Since the food is not getting to the designated populace but enemy combatants..the only sensible thing I to stop the supply..blame the Biafran army soldiers eating foods that was meant for the children getting fat and we'll feed while children died of kwashiorkor. Truth hurts my dear.. No bring bear parlour history talk come meet me ooo .think before you quote me next time or else I will school you ..yes you ..dey play Blame everyone but yourselves. |

masseratti:Read "Why We Struck" by Ademoyega and all your questions will be addressed. Then, come back and still insult me, if what I told you is all a lie, otherwise, you're just one of those illiterate noisemakers on nairaland. What's so difficult about that? You can finish reading it in 4 hours. Happy reading . |

Eriokanmi:please kindly post any qoute in why we struck in Ademoyegas book where it was written that they met with Awolowo in prison to tell him that they want to hold a coup to overthrow the government and release him to be the head of government, the book get PDF online, you can easily post it here so that the whole world will see it ,am not insulting you,but if you are calling an old man that died in 1987 which am not sure you were born then , forgive me for that ,you are calling him a turncoat,a betrayal with no proof or evidence that you can post here online..I can equally say you are a liar . |

aswani:Lolz..lekmd thank you ,it's so sad the way their folks lied to them , that's why we should not keep quiet but school them ,it's actually a pity,I av Igbo friends, infact 65% of my friends I grew up with in surulere were Igbos ,but there is a distinct between Lagos Igbos, born in Lagos and those from the east ,one of my new Igbo friends,we still friends even the ones we all argue with online,we are all still kinda avatar online friends..that one told me that his Grandfather told him that when he was fighting in the civil war he saw white men fighting on Nigeria side ..I was forced to ask him one or two questions and he kept quiet...i couldn't tell him taht your grandfather lied not to spoil our relationship..but right then and then he saw the facts when I presented it ..and all I said is ..all our grandfathers are heros..he now smiled.but this days thwre are new breeds of liars... anyway I can't agree with you more..thanks . |

Almagamation or not almagamation, we are where we are now....what good can we make of it if we let love leads...We are here now why don't we look inward and make it a better place. See South Sudan and Sudan are they better off after separation. Honestly the problem of Nigeria is the set of leaders trying to divide us sowing seed of discord. My brother a common man is same in SW, SS,SE and even in the north. He is plagued with same problem and the elites don't ever want his to rise so as not to drag the table with them. The elites are in all regions oh and you will never see them quarrel among themselves , but they make the common man think his fellow common man is the problem. Elusive001: |

lezan:Bros you are flogging a dead horse. With all due respect, it will never work. You don't get it. You cannot make lies, deceit, hatred work. JESUS CHRIST preached love to individuals and not even to nations. Nigeria as presently constituted will never ever work. This is not a curse, but a living truth. Let's stop looking for shortcuts. How do you make a country that was designed to fail, work? You want justice, fairness, merit, equity, equality, etc to reign in the land? They won't. Many regions will never accept them. To them, any of the above translates to call for war. Religion-wise, Nigeria will NEVER EVER work. |
