Frankly, I don't think the kinds of people participating in these Islamist insurgencies care about the plight of Muslims halfway across the world. It's not like they're coordinating large international attacks like 9/11 where there's a desire to promote a specific ideology as propaganda of the deed. It's all confined to their little space.
