Please, is there a WhatsApp group that I can join for this application? Is there any March 2024 applicant that have heard from Accra immigration recently? |

Hello Can we all go to Twitter and/or X to call these people out and see if anything will come out of it? Can we agree to do that. Let's start doing something. Keeping quiet is not going to end this. Let's call them out and tag everyone possible. |

This is the Twitter/X account of the current high commissioner of Canada to Ghana. She resumed I think September or November of 2024. She still new. We can use the @ and complain to her and see if anything will fall from shaking the tree. Her Twitter/X account @MMontrat |

sade1994:Wow! I think you should keep sending webforms. You should get a response any time soon. Hope you’ve done your medicals? |

Good morning Guys, I'm abit confused about my timeline; i don't know if this is normal. Got married in June, 2024. Nov 30th,2024: Spousal Application submitted Feb 4th, 2025: 1st Email from IRCC requesting payment of biometrics fee alone and further instructions on how to give my biometrics will come later. Though email contained my Ref Id and UCI number Feb 5: Payment of biometric fee and reciept sent via webform as instructed Feb 7: Acknowledgement of reciept of biometric fee submitted Feb 14: Pre arrivel services letter Same Feb 14: My husband recieved sponsorship approval letter Feb 17: Medical request letter, booked alredy for next week. My contemplation is i haven't recieved my AOR, no instruction yet to give my biometrics yet and I'm not able to link my ircc acount on gckey.. Please has anyone experienced similar timelines, where they got Medical request before BIL and no AOR yet. I'll love for a response soon, cos I'm considering reaching out to them via webform. thank you🙏 |

teeteelorpeh:The sponsor gets AOR from my understanding and not the principal applicant. Is it possible your husband may have missed it? As for linking your account on gckey, whats the error? I had issues linking it too until i noticed i had been putting ‘1’ rather than ‘2’ in the number of applicants in application. |

Good morning guys I just have a few info that I need to be clear on, I have gotten my AOR and BIL, Biometrics is showing completed on gckey, eligibility is also being reviewed on gckey, background check is also processing on gckey, but on pr tracker eligibility is showing not started and background check is showing in progress. Also, please how do I know the Visa Office processing my application. |
| Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by geekybabe(f): 11:26pm On Feb 21, 2025 |
teeteelorpeh:I think you should relax. These days not everyone gets an AOR. The most important thing is that progress is being made. It’s not even up to 3 months lol. Just try to link your application to the tracker. So that you know the progress of things and keep track. |
| Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by teeteelorpeh: 7:58pm On Feb 22, 2025 |
Thank you so much, as soon as i put in 2 in number of application i was able to link it. And for the AOR, yes my husband recieved the AOR, but i was expecting to recieve mine too, according to some timelines i read on this page about people recieving 2 AORs. But thanks alot of the clarity The sponsor gets AOR from my understanding and not the principal applicant. Is it possible your husband may have missed it? As for linking your account on gckey, whats the error? I had issues linking it too until i noticed i had been putting ‘1’ rather than ‘2’ in the number of applicants in application.[/quote] |

sade1994:If it's over a year, then you should definitely send out web forms to complain. Yours is already over the time limit. |

I just got slammed with procedural fairness letter coz they think it's a marriage for immigration. 😭😭😭. I don't even know where to start from. My heart is just shattered. Pls guys give me tips on how to go about this. We even have a one year old son ooooo. Pls help me o. |
| Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by geekybabe(f): 2:29am On Mar 08, 2025 |
sade1994:Ok. Calm down. Did you do the application yourselves or used an agent? You might need a guidance and expertise of an immigration lawyer with experience. Again, not an agent. A proper lawyer at this point. But first, What is the story? What exactly did the letter say? |
| Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by sade1994(f): 2:43am On Mar 08, 2025 |
.....""Based on the evidence that you provided, I am not satisfied that your marriage is genuine and/or that the primary reason for the marriage is other than for the purpose of you gaining admission to Canada. You have not submitted sufficient evidence of the progression of your relationship. Evidence regarding the history of your relationship lacks substance. You mention that you met on 2020/10/17 but it is unclear when you relationship begins and when you decide to get married. It does not appear you have spent quality time together prior to your wedding and after. You provided limited evidence of your spouse's stay in 2023 for your wedding. The date he left Nigeria is not mentioned and demonstrated. You have not provided sufficient evidence of time spent together in the form of photos showing you and your spouse in various setting. You have not provided sufficient evidence of meaningful ongoing communication. Insufficient evidence of the financial aspects of your relationship (e.g. transfer of money, joint property, insurance plans or pension, insurance policies) was provided. You declared one dependent but little explanation or evidence was provided with regards to a shared parental conduct concerning this child. I have concerns that your relationship is not genuine or that it was not entered into primarily for the purpose of acquiring permanent residence in Canada. As a result, for the purpose of the regulations, I am not satisfied that you are a member of the class......."" We did the application ourself. Which immigration lawyer can I contact ? We submitted wedding pictures , certificates etc during application. So this is so surprising. geekybabe: |

sade1994:Hmm. This seems to me like you didn’t submit enough / comprehensive documentation with your application. You need to have as much details and proof of your relationship with dates. Not just marriage certificate. Pictures. Pictures with other people, chat history over the years, include dates on those pictures as much as possible. List every thing they asked in that letter and carefully address them with pictures and chats or any form of dated evidence. If you guys have transferred money to each other or have any shared accounts, add the proof with dates. For your child, do you have proof of your husband sending money for his upkeep, or chats where you guys discuss about your child. Again, our Bollywood brothers sponsor their spouses despite arranged marriages. It’s really just detailed supporting documentation. Watch videos on YouTube. Put the contents of that letter in chat gpt and ask for ideas to respond and present a strong and convincing feedback to ircc. Check Ask kubeir lawal on Facebook for others who have gotten procedural fairness letters and how they responded. You’ve got this. |

Thanks so much for your response. I appreciate. If we provide all these detailed info, do you think we'll still need a lawyer ? geekybabe: |
| Re: Canada Spouse Family Sponsorship Visa/appeal Process by geekybabe(f): 8:57pm On Mar 08, 2025 |
sade1994:Well. It depends on you and how much this matters to you. You have already had a chance at doing it yourselves and now you need an expert to get past this and get your approval. Your spouse in canada should reach out and ask around for certified immigration lawyers or Registered immigration consultants that can help out in this matter. Not immigration content creator o. A proper immigration lawyer/ consultant (RCIC) that can help you present a strong case. You don’t have so much time. If you want this , get a second opinion while you get all the detailed documents ready. Again, pay attention to the dates in documents so that it aligns with your relationship history. This is the only chance you have on this application to get this approval to be with your spouse. All the best. |
