Omokri Compares Bauchi’s One Month School Closure To 54-Days Sit-At-Home by iamfraud(op): 5:54am On Mar 01, 2025
This is the then-Governor of Bauchi State, Adamu Muazu, and I on Monday, August 2, 1999. I love Bauchi and have visited it more than ten times. The people of Bauchi have a long history of civilisation and know what they want as a people.

Bauchi state has the right to govern itself in accordance with its culture and tradition. If that involves temporarily shutting down schools in observance of the Ramadan fast, I have no issues with it. I support what the people of Bauchi want for themselves.

They elected their Governor and are in favour of what he is doing. We are in a democracy. It is the government of the people by the people for the people. Since Mutanen Bauchi have no problem with it, you should not sit down in Lagos, Anambra, and Port Harcourt and take Panadol on their behalf when they do not even have a headache.

For your information, Bauchi is one of the states that feeds Southern Nigeria. I refer you to the VAT contribution data recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics. Bauchi is not a parasitic state.

My counsel to those of us who are not from Bauchi but have strong opinions on Bauchi shutting schools for Ramadan is this: Until your state can contribute as much or more than Bauchi in terms of food production and VAT contribution, perhaps it is best to focus on your own Governor and hold him accountable.

Bauchi only shut down schools for one month. In the states of origin of some of you condemning Bauchi, life is shut down completely every Monday. That is 54 days a year and eight weeks per annum. If you have outrage, utilise your outrage in that direction rather than at Bauchi.

Funny enough, it's the Igbos that made Reno popular.

They were practically worshipping him at some point prior to 2019 elections. 😂

Did sit at home originated from Anambra state government house?
I wonder the kind of reasoning you guys have? That's why Africa is still lagging behind.

And yet the Federal Government has still not over the years, reduced the cut off mark of those children who do not attend schools on Mondays because they are still ahead of others who attend from Monday to Friday, thus retaining the top 3 because dem fit chest am!cheesy cheesy😂😂

These cut off marks follows them, irrespective of where they are schooling in Nigeria, even if it is in Sambisa Forest😎

And the miracle centre delusion is being punished with primary school children being saddled with high cut off marks.😂😂😂

Do you know that a child from Anambra state, who is studying in a primary school in your village is expected to score way higher than your children and other children, indigenous to your village?

Even with the closure of schools for Ramadan, Igbo children fom Anambra, Imo and Enugu, schooling in those Northern states are still expected to score more than children who are indigenes of Lagos, attending school Monday to Friday in Lagos. 😂😂😂😂😂

This Reno Omokri has no shame and dignity. How can he as an educated fellow defend & justify the shutting down of schools for a whole month just because of Islamic fasting.
Defending the same people/ideologies he spent his miserable time in the US criticizing just because of money. WHAT A SHAME!!

As for some Northern governors shutting down schools, someone should remind me the meaning of Bo.ko Haram again?

Ipob miscreants ( Not all Igbo) and some busy body Christians just like to poke their dirty noses in Muslims affairs. You will never see us commenting on Christians religion, we believe in freedom of religion.

In Islam, we encourage our children to start practicing Ramadan fasting from the age of 7. Now the weather is so hot in the north, even the parents will find it difficult to get under the scorching sun to pick their children in school while fasting.

The governments that shut schools did so for the people's welfare, and the people are not complaining. Even our Christian neighbours are happy with the decision, because their children too will get some relief from the hot weather condition.

Great .
Nigeria should practice proper federalism so that people who want to sit at home or close down schools for Ramadan can do that in peace

As far as the people concerned (the indigene, and those residing in the state) are pleased with the affair and it does not affect the students curriculum for education then fine besides it's our religious festival not another man's (country/race) festival

Buhari and Tinubu ignored Reno as irrelevant for more than a decade. IPOB azzlicked and worshipped him, made him popular.

But since he started pummelling Obi, IN less than 2 months, IPOBs starting crying over their god.

El Rufai made a silly mistake answering him... RENO will sit in front of a mirror and proudly say " I am having a beef with a former Governor & Minister" grin

Only a complete f000l will do such comparison..

Schools in southeast have adjusted their calendar. Saturday is part of school days in southeast, so sit at home is not affecting students in southeast.

One useless fugitive m0nkey will stay in a hole and be typing rubbish about what he doesn't know.

The f000lish m0nkey is still talking about VAT. Wise people talk about GDP while dumb skulls keep referring to fake stats of VAT that is not collected from point of sales.

The irony of trying to mock southeast with low VAT while the north is still poverty headquarters.

A region with seating governors could not address the issue of sit at home that have been plaguing them for years and you call these guys governors?

I am sure that if this situation at home rubbish is happening another region, you guys will not allow us hear words but here you are trying to justify your situation at home menace because it wasn't announced by your governors.

Shame on you people and your clueless governors.

You guys are the real definition of COWARDS

I don’t understand why Christians are always so bothered by Islam and Muslim affairs.

Why can’t they simply let us practice our faith in peace? Now, after the Sultan announced that Ramadan begins today, we see an outpouring of bitterness and hostility from them.

Here’s the reality—Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world. Your hatred changes nothing and has no effect on us.

Does it mean that the more contribution a State has to national treasury, the more the inpunity to govern against national interest? Nigeria does not have loose federal system where a State can adopt culture and tradition not tailored on Rule of Law.
Besides, what is this his penchant to compare events with that of Southeast glamouring for self actualisation, given the marginalisation and lies against her for years? Lies which have just be refuted in recent events. Has he even come out to synpathise with the people that lost millions of lives and resources from such?
Reno is one of the characters readily deployed to orchestrate Divide and Rule style of rulership by governing elites. That is, divide the masses for easy ruling by the government. All this head-crashing by the masses on Nairaland is the resultant effect of his paid assignment. This is the reason we, the ultimate sovereignty cannot rise and speak in one voice against their obnoxious policies and corruption.
