It wasn't hot last year, 10 years, 20 or 30 years ago.
Dey play you hear?
I guess you're just waking up.

This is not the first time some northern states would go on holiday during Ramadan. I first witnessed it in 2006. That's some 19 years ago so no be today e start.

Insecurity is not limited to south east, the whole country is facing various security challenges.
We should focus our attention on politicians. We just rant online, years ago one could travel round the country peaceful.
Tribalism was at its lowest.

In Islam, we encourage our children to start practicing Ramadan fasting from the age of 7. Now the weather is so hot in the north, even the parents will find it difficult to get under the scorching sun to pick their children in school while fasting.

The governments that shut schools did so for the people's welfare, and the people are not complaining. Even our Christian neighbours are happy with the decision, because their children too will get some relief from the hot weather condition.

The country is just impossible, if you complain about the cost of living rising up, some washed up folks will dig deep to bring about countries going through the same shiiiit just justify what we are going through here, same script keeps playing out and gradually the citizens are becoming more docile each passing day.

I'm from the north and it saddens my heart daily that life up north is totally different from what we have down south and our so called northerner elites careless about the fate of the average Bahushes but trust me the so called Dan Arewa will still stoop low to defend this MF either on this platform or outside, it's pathetic, the journey is arduous.

Nigeria is exhausting to say the least.

Reno know how to get attention but SE should leave the North to do their own thing. it's their business but then everybody in the North and SW are complaining about Sit at home in the SE.

Lets mind our business or talk about each others business.

Most of the shenanigans we are grappling with today were pioneered by Ibrahim Babangida.

Ahmed Tinubu is well on his way to entrenching another set of false values in our society, including the people who are now weaponized to speak ill of anyone, group or tribe they perceive as opponents.

The beginning is easy, what and where it will end is unpredictable.

That particular issue is a national issue of separatist trying to get the government to do their bidding but the government is handling that well. But the issue of telling everyone to stay at home and not get education for a whole 30 days is a no no . how will you feel if a state government in the southern part of the country closes all schools because of Ramadan or Christian fasting periods. Doesn't it sound barbaric to you.

They're predominantly Muslims.

The weather is usually very hot between March and April.

They usually would adjust their academic calendar to accommodate the 30 days Ramadan break, hence while other schools have gone on holiday you would realize schools in some of this states taking Ramadan break would still be on session.
What's your point?
Are the schools shut down because of Ramadan or the Hot weather?

You have seen it all and did your own. We have a generation of youths whose mental faculty has been rewired to argue against what benefits them while the old ones re engineering their brains are just too primitive and barbaric and don't want to move at the pace of the young ones , do they must fight to hold them down with lies and propaganda with full pages of distorted truths . please always include in all your write-ups that the people (citizens ) themselves too are highly impossible in all ways.

Go back to school and go and lean how insurrections are managed by any civil and responsible government . you won't want a system of break down of law and order in your country.

Similarly, the decision to adopt a State Religion to the extent of forcing Ramadan on all the residents is a violation of the Constitution. Not all residents of Bauchi are Muslims and the Governor was not elected on 100% votes from all the citizens and residents.

Oga carry that your poke their dirty noses” into Muslim affairs to the dustbin where it rightly belongs. Your comment shows you as a miscreant, mischievous, hypocritical and with the same “dirty nose”. If you do not want Christians to ask questions about what’s happening within the Islamic community in Nigeria, you can simply get your own country and go away. You do not want Christians to poke into affairs of Muslims, yet you have a Muslim President and Muslim Vice President, superintending the affairs of the country’s, which includes the same Christians and citizens of different tribes, who you canvassed their votes to instal your Muslim brothers as their leaders.

If you have never been to other Muslim countries to see how they practice their religion, why not ask? Who says that they shut down their schools completely to observe Ramadan? Some countries reschedule learning their learning hours to accommodate the fasting season. In some, distance learning is practiced. Never do they shut down the entire system completely to accommodate the season. Bauchi state has reset the calendar so that pupils can resume after the fast and conclude the second time one month behind in April.

If you tried to reason well, you’d find that Bauchi state has a large percentage of Christians. Shutting down the schools, therefore, ensures that all are forced on holidays, which is improper. Who told you that your Christian “ neighbours” are happy? If they seem happy to you, do they have an option, especially when they know that their lives and children’s lives would be in danger, from those who carry guns that you support? Why not shut down Abuja or Lagos because of the period. Why not ask the President to shut down the whole school system in the whole country?

What you fellows support lends credence to the claim of boko haram about western education.
