They want to fool themselves that SA is the only country in the world where black people don't achieve anything good. Otherwise they'd have to kill themselves over the dire situation in their cow-ntry. Even Botswana and Rwanda live better than Nigerians and they don't have whites. They're very bitter, jealous and brainwashed.
I mean, this thread has nothing to do with white people, but these mindless coons will find a way to sing their praises ..Nigerians are something else man

South African prisoners have voiced their dissatisfaction after the Department of Correctional Services announced that beef and chicken would be reduced from their meal plan in favour of cheaper alternatives.

Some have even claimed that they have been left “starving” by smaller portions of food.

The department is headed by Minister Pieter Groenewald, who has facilitated a crackdown on unlawful practices behind bars.

This week, the Department of Correctional Services, they have introduced a new meal plan to prisoners.

This includes less red meat, chicken, and fish and more “cheaper alternatives” like soya products.

According to reports, the department spends around 500 rands (41,000 naira) a day for each prisoner’s expenses.

Department spokesperson Singabhako Nxumalo told eNCA: “It is more than just a matter of costs involved, but it’s about flexibility so at least there is a variety than having to consume the same items”.

Nxumalo emphasised that the new meal plan had “nutritional value.”

According to the 12-day meal plan, the following reductions will be made:

4 Beef servings to 1 beef serving
3 Chicken servings to 1 chicken serving
2 Fish servings to 1 fish serving
No tea and coffee

Prisoners will be introduced to “cheaper alternatives” like beans, eggs, soya, and chicken giblets.

According to the report, prisoners have voiced their dissatisfaction with the new meal plan.
The bolded above needs to be clarified. Is the 500 rands strictly for feeding a day or for the entire expense including other things like clothing, toiletries etc? If it is strictly feeding, it is best believed to be a big lie.
A simple mathematics will suffice to prove that even an average working class South African don't spend 500 rands on feeding alone.
500 rands x 30 days is 15,000 rands a month. How much is the monthly salary of an average South African? Is it even close to the amount above? Even in the US, the amount spent on feeding a prisoner a day is less than $3. 3 dollars is less than 60 rands.
The quality of food in US prisons is far better than what is offered in SA prisons.
Can you post different pictures of what a prisoner's meal look like in South Africa for comparison?

Attention!
This isn't to hold any brief for Nigeria. I don't care about a country that feeds her dogs better than she feeds her prisoners.

Why do you think that I am a South African and not a Nigerian? Did you go through my post history?

Anyway, if we Nigerians are not so obsessed with oyinbos, then why are we praying and fasting for japa visas and other ways to get to Europe and America to make them even better than our own country?

Any ideahuh

The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience

The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.

Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.

Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.

I am not sure what to be jealous about? I would not trade the trauma you all have been through for the dignity my generations and I will have.

It's like saying I would gladly trade off the slavery, jim crow, racism, lynching,Police brutality etc of the African Americans to be a Nigerian.

NOT IN A MILLION YEARS.!!!!
