Brother, Some people have zero financial education.

Someone was ranting that her salary of 300k was too low, money she spends as she pleases oo.

I told her point blank, if with 300k monthly you have zero savings and you are always in debt, her getting a promotion and receiving 500k monthly won’t make any difference undecided

Sigh... Another thread for the lame braggarts.

Everyone is always wealthy online.

Oga, several Nigerians earn half of that or close to half of that, and are very comfortable.

There's something called "Living within your means".
God bless u

In Nigeria they are all millionaire online but if 5 naira climb anything them go complain tire

What is the percentage of Nigerians who earn such on a monthly basis? Without corruption that's the net pay of an assistant director in a state civil service.

You guys will come online and start saying trash. If you're sure of what you're saying let's see the screen shot of your February alert covering vital information but leaving the amount.

We rise by lifting others.

Even in Obasanjo era,it wasn't a big boy money.. with inflation,at least 20m.

Jonathan regime 5-10m

Obasanjo regime 2-5m

That is about $300. A doctor daily pay in usa
Have we started spending dollars in Nigeria?

How much does that doctor pay for rent in a year? How much for other household bills?

Most of you just like dropping useless comments

what if you work in lekki , do you have to leave inside ikorodu just to save up and build , some even own a house in those remote area but do you know how hard it is to commute to lekki everyday from remote area
Eventually you'll retire and you'll need a home. Whether it's ikorodu or not.

This is how it's done. Build a house in Ikorodu if that's where you can get a cheap land and labor, continue working and save up and enjoy life while building your home.

When your home is completed, park in there, alias with 5 or 4 colleagues, rent a house in Lekki or wherever, come home every weekend and return on Monday morning. Do this till you retire home then save or invest enough for old age. That's if your plan is a 9-5 ooo

My relation is technical lead at Tek experts and he lives at Ikorodu. He said Ito oluwo. I don't know the spelling but he lives in Ikorodu but he works in Lagos island. He's very fine and with a wife and kid.

Don’t mind the comments trolling you. I earn way above that and in similar situation. I used to have a large amount of savings before this Tinubu regime but I have eroded most of it to survive. I was sad at first and shame cannot let me reveal how much I earn and can’t save until I opened up and found out many of my colleagues are facing similar challenges since Tinubu regime.

I’m consuming way less than I used to back around 2022 and have cut down so many things but still not working. I can’t remember when last I went to Cubana to sit out or bought a nice outfit for myself. Something I used to do before and still have extra to save every month. I go to market to buy food items for the house and 200k items are not even much again.

My major expenses are rent at least 200k monthly, food stuff another 150k-200k, fuel to work daily cost me around 130k/month in Tinubu’s economy (1k/liter), school fees 100k monthly, internet/electricity/netflix another 70k monthly. I avoid impulse buying and no longer snack or eat out yet still not easy to manage.

I wonder how people earning less are surviving and everyone is acting normal.

I fear Nigerians.
