Glithronix:I've found myself using the bolded route lately just kind of farther and slower but it's worth it sha. Hopefully, our government will find a solution to that trap of a road. Funnily enough, I've never seen any form of accident there before sha. Much respect, sir. |

HelenaWills:this is where side mirror plays a vital role, people don't know how to intersect that road, I've seen many people enter that road and go straight to the left lane immediately when intersecting. But the right way to intersection is to keep right, put on your left turn signal, watch oncoming cars through your side mirror and when you notice you have some distance away from oncoming vehicle, accelerate and goto the left lane, it's not that hard.... |

HelenaWills:Just exercise patience, wait for space before u enter. when u enter, drive slowly, traficate and allow incoming vehicles to give u right of way before u finally move to the last lane. Don't chance people coming with speed, Don't rush, Don't fret. |

Pearl1910:I don't think EVs should be considered as option for commercial use in Nigeria, EV vehicle is a new technology and haven't existed for 10years, no 1 knows how long the lithium batteries can last and no 1 knows how rugged they are built until current users start dropping reviews about it. hybrid is an option but I've heard the car is very sensitive, was once told that the brake pad can't be changed like we change our normal gasoline vehicle. the best option currently is the CNG and that also has its own disadvantages... |

HelenaWills:@the bold - for taking that longer route, that mean say you really take am serious. ![]() Using the U-turn at that 7up-emergency is not hard, though. But I understand you very well. Btw, Nigerian government is an ignorant one, dem no fit think outside the box to fix a critical situation like that. Is it this government wey go do road finish and ignore fixing street lights? ![]() It is well. |

Why is it that my car drives great when I'm doing bolt for weeks or months on end bar suspension issues due to horrible roads? But when I only have to drive 5mins max from home to site and back in the evening for a few weeks, It doesn't drive as smooth. Conner44, I'm gonna need your input on this abeg. |

HelenaWills:Importance of use of turn signals l, side view mirror, and patience at such delicate turns cannot be overemphasized.. There's no way you'd not find yourself at such turns if you were ehailing in Abuja. There are a whole bunch of them on the expressways here. Just slow down and exercise patience. And no allowance dem scare you with horns o. |

Omoapena:🤦 Please bring more excuses. For me EV and Hybrid tops CNG. Except it's a factory fitted CNG from d manufacturer. |

Pearl1910:did you say excuses? lol 😆 amongst the options, CNG outweighs others and considering other factors like cost of purchase and maintenance, CNG still outweighs them... |

Omoapena:What evidence do u have? Toks EV car is around 6-7k dollars. It comes with charging equipment which u can plug ur car in ur house and charge. U can also charge with solar. To install fast charge system outside is about 250k. This can charge ur car to 100% in 1hr. The cost of power u need to charge ur car 100% is about 5k. 100% can carry u 2-3days or 300miles. Tell me, how is CUG cheaper than this? |

Pearl1910:I have given a thought to this, not seriously though. One thing is certain, I'm not gonna convert my car to CNG. And if I'm getting another car for ehailing it's got to be a hybrid at the very least. |

AutoTechDoyz:My car is like that too. I have said it before, I fit drive that car for 2months and all I will do is oil change but ones I have something that keeps me from ehailing, and I sparsely drive the car na so different different things go dey come up. Or they will show up when I resume my ehailing with the car |

Pearl1910:You can use one of them to test run the market. A 2nd hand car @ 7k dollars. I hope the cars are in Sedan shape n not the cubicle type ..That's over 10million naira. For taxi in Lagos?. How long will it take you to recoup 10 million naira with all the shitty fares flying around. I dont see EVs running ehailing in Nigeria. It's not sustainable. Your opportunity cost analysis won't stand. It's not an option. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Nobody: 11:17pm On Mar 02, 2025 |
northbird:Hin go soon tell you how the EV worth being used for commercial in Nigeria, baba got to market that $7k EVs😁 |

northbird:You people are asking the wrong questions. What is the cost of repair? Are parts readily available? Do you have to wait for certain parts to be imported? How much are they? How durable are the cars? Can it stand the rigour of ehaling? Are mechanics who can fix it readily available? How long does the ev battery last? How much is the replacement cost? |

There's a new taxi company coming up in Lagos, eDryv by folti technologies. They're using strictly EV. I had an interview with them. But they said driver will be on monthly salary of about 100k and will park the car at their office in VI daily after work to recharge the car. I just told them I'm not interested. So let's see how that works |

northbird:1. A full-time ehailing driver currently spends between 500k and 900k on fuel every month. Meaning in a year I spend at least 6m on fuel and u are telling me EV is not sustainable 😱 I will give anything for this running cost to be eliminated or reduced to a bare minimum. 2. EVs don't have combustion engines so nothing like monthly oil change and injector servicing. Every month u spend around 30k for oil and filter plus workmanship. Better begin to see it o, cos joy is coming, If u are talking about sustainability then EV is d way u should go. Nobody knows what the price of fuel and gas will be tomorrow. Wait make the car land for Naija first. |
