My Purpose On Earth. by DarkLover(op): 11:42am On Mar 02, 2025
Everyday I wake up, eat, drink, sleep, chats, and perform a milions of gestures that constitute life on Earth, but I still keep wondering why am I here?

I'm yearning for my purpose on Earth, my life seems like a primordial one, each time I feel like I've been here before—in an unfulfilled purpose lifetime. I dreamt of wars and ancient times. Maybe I was an emperor who failed in his journey of life. Now I've been given a another chance to right my old wrongs, and live a purposeful life, but I can't find the purpose.

I've delved into the dark arts, trained my body to beyond human level, travelled through time and space, just to understand why I'm here, I've spent uncountable hours alone since my childhood looking for answer, yet I found nothing and still feel empty.

I turned to church to get my answers, immersed myself in the gospel, loved the God's work, I gave alms, I helped folks, I've counseled, preached, I was loved by everyone who's had an encounter with me, yes! God has really blessed me in all ways, I remembered my mum & sis jokingly saying that God used the whole day to perfect me, but I still feel purposeless. I don't know why I'm here.

I refused to believe in the saying that we're negligible in the scheme of things looking at the vastness of our observable universe. I am LIGHTLOVER, and I'm still searching for the answers.

I'll value your inputs, my friends.

We come here, whine and dine, until we grow old & die to become an history, it's very strange to me. Isn't life ought to be more than that? I seemed to be indifferent to all these now as I no longer finds them pleasing.

Finding our purpose on here should be our number 1 priority. No matter how intelligent and beautiful/handsome we are, they all get washed our away by the tickles of time.

Have you found your purpose here? How did you find it? Help me, I am still finding me.

Why don't you start by doing something entirely different from all you have done before now, which is to step out of yourself and attend to the needs of others? Since you have not been able to find your purpose in yourself, maybe by stepping outside of you, you might get ideas to lead you to the direction you need to go. huh

1. According to whom or what? huh

2. What purpose? What is the life's purpose of the cow or the millipede? Or the rattlesnake? We give their lives the purpose we choose. So why not think to give yours that which you can best come up with instead of coming here to whine, dine, until you grow old and die and fade into oblivion like the many, many lives before yours? undecided

3. Yes! Billions out there also have, and they work at it every single day of their lives. undecided

I am very sure that if you were hungry, then you would have known that what God has given us, is very very good and complete.

But if you are Cursed then, you must seek for something else

Unfortunately, there is none for the Cursed

I've searched all over, couldn't find nobody.

Looked high and looowu
Still couldn't find nobody!

Nobody greater, Nobody greater, Nobody greater than Jesus.

But you can keep searching.

It is a born of a false sense of superiority over other creatures and entities on earth. Likely a result of depressive thoughts. undecided

why don't you pray about it. I believe we should pray about everything. I have been in this position before. Infact am still in the process. Everyones purpose can only be reveal in prayer. No one knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man, so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. For you to know the purpose of God for your life, you must pray to the God that created you and knows you. So pray to God about it

All of your own prayers for many years have yet to be answered by this your Christian god. But here we find the same you insisting that another person must embark on the very same, become caught up in the same hopelessness that you have been entangled with for so long. No be wickedness dem dey call that? undecided

I am currently praying, I don't want to just fake into the oblivion when the time comes without knowing why I was sent here. What's the purspose of humans on Earth?

I'm sure it's more than just to whine, dine & procreate.

I disagreed with the false sense part, it's the reality. We can exterminate all other lives of earth with minimal effort. Of course, our planet is surviving because of all the ecosystems. We all need each other but clearly, we are the superior.

Knowledge itself is a curse we must learn to live with, my question is very simple though—what's the purspose of humans on earth. I've done a lot and yet I fill unfulfilled.

I've given alms, I've volunteered in causes for humanity sake, visited the worst of the places to have share from feelings of others. Yet here I am smiley

2. Again, I get the sense that you somehow believe or think that because it is you, then it must then be the lot of everyone out there. Am I wrong? undecided

3. You are superior and hence should have a purpose bigger than that of other animals in the animal kingdom. undecided

Giving of arms and volunteering is only a small part of what it means to step outside of your own mind— that tiny box that defines you — to see that it is not all there is. By the way, all of your volunteer service seems to be in the past tense. why? Were you not able to see yourself in those others? undecided

Knowledge is a curse. why? undecided

2. Where do you get the idea that there must be a purpose beyond you simply existing and ceasing after death? Let's start there. undecided

I have so many reasons why I see knowledge as a curse, especially too much of it. If I begin to explain these reasons, I'll turn here to some literature & gothic classes.

Right from my childhood, I've always believed that I have a higher purpose here. Yes, I've helped strangers, gave people hope, make people smile, I've always been a shining light to others– a reference, but still, I believed that there's more to my existence.

I derives joy from helping others, I still helps in my little capacity, however, the question that always pop in my head is "why am I sent here?"

You, my friend, have you discovered your purpose here?

I lost my dad at his peak of his career, yesterday I almost died, though from the cause of my actions. But then, good men dies, same as bad men, and on a daily basis. Is our existense that inconsequential?

We are the only only people out here, in this visible plane. Others are animals, entities and plants. We are in an endless quest to find meanings to our lives and bailed from emptiness. We compete with ourselves not with other creatures.

You're not wrong or right, I project myself & assumed the feelings of other, I know so many people do same, afterall, we're all humans.

We give purpose to those animals you mentioned,
even the plants & mystical beings, we lord over them all. If we have a watcher, a supreme being out there, I'm sure he has intentions and purpose for us all too. I'm finding mine, have you found yours?

2. I, too, had the idea that I had a higher purpose from my childhood. Again, the act of believing in having a higher purpose without in fact having the details to go along with it is, as I see it, a delusion. I used to have that delusion myself, but over time, I realized it for what it is and, fortunately, accepted it as the nothing it is. I hope you can get over yourself soon, too. undecided

1. What if there is, in fact, no higher purpose? You believe, without reason or evidence, that there is a higher purpose, but what if, after it all, you find there is no other purpose at all but that which is before us, which is to live well and die well? undecided

2. No man is guaranteed a long life on this planet. Everyone will die. When no one knows. But we can live well with the hope that we will also die well. Importance and significance are all a delusion we create for ourselves, kinda like the many societal class systems we create to set some above others even though Death — the one to come to us all — has no respect for all those standards. undecided
