Their new fraud strategy is to first give band B members considerable light supply to create an impression that light they wella, then without notice, they will switch them to band A with its outrageous tariffs and then boom, the light you were initially getting like 18 hours a day on band B will systematically reduce to 13-15hours while still paying higher tariffs.. Then many excuses go follow.. Their ultimate goal is to switch everyone to band A while still maintaining the old status quo of not supplying the expected hours of power that comes with it..

Yours was a village. I stay in the heart of lekki. Our voltage here na 140-160v, in the night, it goes to about 170v, and them call am band A.

Funny, AEDC shot itself in the foot the moment it introduced the banding system. 90% of the people in band A are migrating to solar because it makes no sense paying above a million Naira per month for epileptic power supply..

Now the money they thought they will make, they are not making it.

Now they want to migrate people in band B and C. They know these people cannot afford to buy solar.

In some countries, power is expensive during the day and very cheap at night to encourage people to use it, that way it ensures grid stability.

Here we are increasing tariff without increasing service delivery or adding new infrastructure.

Which nonsense 90%. Solar easy like that? Even if you get solar or inverter, most still need EKEDC for more intensive appliances like AC in particular, especially in this heat. If 10% of Band A have gone to solar, i'd be impressed sef.

Telecoms tariff increase after 12years vex you! Nigerians are entitled sha! Everything must be cheap or free.

The problem is not the cost of the telecoms tariff or electricity or petrol. The issue is that our incomes in Nigeria are too low. That's what we need to fight. Left to me minimum wage should be N150k for starters, based on where prices of things are at the moment.

Isn't that all the more reason why you should understand that the tariff needs to go up? Is MTN meant to be pitying you about inflation when they have their own to worry about? Trust me, you don't use as much diesel as MTN. So imagine the impact on them with diisel at N1100 from N650 when Tinubu came into office.

bro talking from experience here in Abuja, band A customers are switching to Full solar. AC, washing machine, electric cooker are all being run of Solar.

I use 1hp thermocool inverter in bedroom, and it's chilly oo
I use duvet too but have to switch it off at 3am cos of the dryness.

If there is any set up that can even run 2 days without sun for a residential house and carry away least 2ac then it will be a minimum of 10kva and like 30kwh battery system with like 30 500W solar panels. At least in my house I know I average about 15kwh daily on 90% Band A availability. This Feb I used like 440kwh which at N227 is N99k.

Such a set up is probably like N15mln. That's a 12yr breakeven.

band A customer in Abuja no dey talk. One Chinese company close to my place just left the grid, they installed more than 500 panel in there compound. Guy NEPA is at the loosing end. They brought a bill of over 30m and. Those guys provoked.

Imagine nepa loosing 99k in 100 places
