na dem go tire. Dangote is going to 600 soon. Imagine if there is no dangote refinery, we will be buying almost 1500 amid scarcity.
His target was actually 500 naira before last year August after which tinubu and NNPCL engaged in a war of words with dangote.

NNPCL stepped in to hijack the down stream operations for a reason. They wanted to hide the truth behind the subsidy scam. If you recall, they first sabotaged dangote by setting a portion of his refinery ablaze which was put out quickly. Then, they said his fuel was adulterated, then they said he's a monopoly. From there, they said he can't meet the local demands so, they must appoint 3 marketers, including Tinubu's own which he's operating under a proxy as he does in most of his investments. Dangote went to court and obtained a court order to stop the NNPCL. Some smart businessmen advised dangote to withdraw the court order that tinubu and NNPCL won't win the war. What you're seeing today shouldn't surprise you. Dangote is out to rescue the nation. I pray for God's protection over him.

Dangote fuel or nothing.. Nnpc Biko drink your fuel, we no want again.
Nnpc are now enemies of Nigerians.
Imagine the Tinubu's supporters calling dangote a monopoly at the start of his refinery's operations, when they knew who the authentic monopoly was. Illiteracy of the mind is a self-inflicted and the most dangerous one 😳 😃

The price of beer should reduce also.

Why is it that I see these reductions only in the pages of Nairaland? Cab men I ask claim the reality on ground is different.

This is a dangerous game form dangote, government need to checkmate him and support other organisations against is game plan. His strategy is to price other players out of market being short, medium or longer time once it's remain only him in market, he we now do as he wishes.
So what you are saying is that Dangote should be banned from reducing price?

Oh my God, what kind of dumb generation of illiterates do we have here

I agree. They won't have reduced their price if not for Dangote.

Dangote should bring it down to N600 and run NNPC out of business.
Dangote will hike prices once he gets a monopoly in petroleum.
The same way he did with cement from 700 to 10000 naira per bag

This price war between them only shows that they have been overcharging Nigerians.

They should bring the fuel price further down.

I now see the sense in leaving the market open. If not for the competition, none of them would have reduce prices as they are doing.

But NNPC no get enough capacity to compete with Dangote for now. Make them no go break knee.
BRO, leaving the market opened wont have changed a thing, if dangote decided to be like them

Remenber we dont have any effective regulatory or checks n balance in place ...

Lets imagine if dangote decides to increase the price to 900, do you trust Nnpc/marketers will beat him to crash price

Dangote is making what i call "shark move" .... if i wont have your patronage then i might as well block una profit ratio

The ideal competition is not here yet, until we have more private refineries come on board

You’re right..

The competition will always compel both sides to bring price of fuel down..
Just pray they didn't become friends and on same page later. Remember the MTN, ECONEY and GLO or per second billing and other charges. Today them dey same page oo

I agree with you. Dangote is at least more fair than NNPC. Without Dangote, NNPC won’t decrease anything.

Also, Dangote is decreasing prices too probably because NNPC exists too.

Lastly, no one can compete with Dangote, he will soon run NNPC out of business. To see another person that will invest almost $20bn in a refinery of Dangote capacity go tey.

If you have refineries and you don’t output almost as Dangote, then he will sue economics of scale to run you out.

When did it become price war between dangote and FG
The recent price action between Dangote's refinery and the government 's Nnpc seems to point to that direction.

if at all public refineries wont function i think another private large scale refinery can compete with dangote .. you no what they say about 3rd wife

for instance, if BUA come to existent, sourcing of crude has no preferential treatment, meaning it will be a leveled playing field for both players

Dangote capacity can be turned a against him, a rival will easily meet there capacity need, with a lower volume nd ideal price they will sell out fast, without incurring storage cost

remember dangote once nagged about his storage cost

I will actually agree with this price reduction if it gets to 67 naira it was when APC(TINUBU,ETC) protested.
You increased petrol from #97 to #1350, then adjusted the price to #860 and you want us to celebrate you are working.

It is when you bring it down below what you met it,then I will celebrate you are working.

BAT too wish abeg.
Everyone fought for subsidy to be gone. It was your Jagaban that fought against it. It was to be removed with little impact to the economic because it was planned for. Your Jagaban removed it lousily with no considerations to the economic. He had the option to seal Dangote deal on refinery operations before removing subsidy but like a thoughtless man with a new claim to fame opened his mouth in public announcement on Inauguration. He killed Nigeria.

How do you know they don't have the capacity to compete with dangote? Most of the charges dangote will pay, they won't pay.
