Paraman:On cement matter i want to believe Dangote is transfering the undisclosed burden govt is placing on him to the buyers. Local production should be leverage inclined, where we dont have leverages like rice, it is more logical to import |

Paraman:I honestly don't care whether the government lifts the ban or not, but continually blaming small-scale holders for high prices is just too funny. We know how to address the issue of petrol prices by begging and giving Dangote billions of dollars in loans, but when it comes to agriculture, we want to achieve the same results with 5 million for small-scale holders. Why didn't we also give 5 million to oil bunkers and miners who extract petrol with 50-liter drums and firewood to compete and achieve low prices? |

Bobodee09:The problems most times is not the farmers, is only people that did farming that can understand. It's the middlemen, those Babalojas and mamalojas they are the problem. It's synonymous to drivers and the agberos, it's the agberos that tells driver prices to carry it, they inflated it so much. Many farmers will rather sell even if he didn't make profit that watch his labour on the produce rot, a tomatoes farmer will not want his tomatoes to rot, it's the market people that will come and dictate price for the farmer, if he refuse to sell they will leave and tell themselves not to buy, and if they buy they will take them to market and still dictate price to sell. Those people are extremely wicked, they will mouth to rubbish a farmer produce and claim no one will buy it but after buying some they will beg you to give them those one they claim nobody will buy as jara, and when they get it they will sell it in the market. And if farmer takes their produce to the market they will not allow you to sell, they must be the one to buy from you at their price, if not they will ask you to leave the market. If you dare to sell yourself by force they will spoil your produce. They are like mafia and they have mastered this act so much that it doesn't even seems like a bad thing to them but market strategy |

OfficialP:You are deviating, house rent and school fee under buhari is lower compared to now. agreed We are not denying the necessity for prices increase But the bone of contention is our local market are "OverPriced , what i find more annoying is the fact that; For every increase in price comes with a decrease in quantity and quality of any local product. cost of production should be the one dictating Prices, not lifestyle, taste or family problem which seems to be the case The favorable solution to meet standard of living is upscale productivity, producing more increases your turn over rate but Nigeria trader see overstating price as a sure path to make quick profit inflating prices to amass turnover is like pooing where you sleep .. the smell will affect people around and You tew. if you sell yam nd inflate price you will meet me that sell egg there even gas seller they wait for us its a vicious cycle of karma where their is inflation, a hike is tenable but Over pricing as we have seen here is what i condemn |

This is why I keep saying that small Cameroon despite having just 2 Presidents since 1960 is better than Nigeria with uncountable number of military and civilian Presidents. Why do I say so? Paul Biya is 93 years old and if he wins this year election will be 100 years by the end of his next 7 year mandate. How could Buhari give 300 billion to 4 million farmers with the effect not being felt? Both the government and citizens na same same. In Cameroon, the government does not give money to farmers, but establishes tens of thousands of hectares in which it employs citizens to work on the farms and the produce sold locally at fixed government prices. If you like go open your own farm, at harvest na then we go know whether ur price cheap pass government price or not and customer go choose who to buy from as per price and quality. SODECOTON - Cotton for clothing, cotton seed oil for cooking, cottonseed cake for animal feed. CDC - Rubber, Bananas, Palm Oil SOCAPALM - Palm Oil SEMRY - Rice SODEBLE - Wheat MAISCAM - corn, sorghum, millet NOSUCA - Sugarcane SODECAO - Cocoa and coffee etc etc There are more than 20 such companies operating on thousands of hectares of land, employing citizens and feeding the nation. It is worth noting that the CDC mentioned in this list is the 2nd highest employer in Cameroon after the State. The products from these state owned companies cannot be exported out of Cameroon except by the State itself after ensuring local supply. Na land no dey Nigeria? Abi workers no dey? You know how many of such companies could have been created with that Buhari 300 Billion which ended up with a rice pyramid? Rice pyramid wey don suddenly turn to rice stampede in less than 4 years. I still dey find the babalawo wey swear for Nigeria, na im god I wan dey worship now. Tufiakwa Nigeria. |

techaboki:Nobody asked to farm for them, it's your decision. You locally farm produce must not be more expensive than imported foods. Why should I buy a bag of locally made rice for 120k when I can get a better foreign rice with better quality for 50k or 40k? They should open the boarder let's import, imported foods are cheap than local food. Nigerian farmers are uselessly greedy. We don't need them |
