I am not saying he's dead but not all deaths should be linked to evil people.

The issue with Olubadan throne is that before they attain that throne, they are already Old.
Imagine someone who took up the throne last year at the age of 89.
After 2 or 3 years on the throne, they are gone.
I think Ibadan people should do away with that system of Kingship and fashion out another way which would allow young, healthy and agile able men to get to the throne.
Though the system is less controversial but it's archaic.
The youngest olubadan in history - Yesuff Kobiowu - was 55 years when he attained the throne in 1964. He died 5 months later.

This means death has nothing to do with age but I will support any amendment if it doesn’t touch the peaceful ascension in Ibadan,

Ibadan is the only city in Nigeria who does not have royal family. All Ibadan sons and daughters are naturally born Princes and Princesses. So unique.

Is there anything forbidding the king from proving to the world by himself that he's alive?

Except he comes out on rare occasions for events. In cases like this, it's not the duty of the king to debunk the rumours.
They have designated people to do that.

Thanks for the other day bro,I really really appreciate it

I'm not saying age has anything to do with death. What I'm saying is that it will be more charismatic and influential to have a young and agile king who can move up and down without the support than having an aged king.

I grew up to know Oba Asanike who later died in 1993 after spending 10 years which I think is the longest any Oba in Ibadan in recent years have spent.
Now compare that to Awujale,Alake and others, you will understand what I'm talking about.
I also like the ascension path of an Olubadan but I hope it can be fine tuned.

I understand what you are saying, but the history of Ibadan can't allow for that.
The reason it is OLU of Ibadan, and not specific names like Awujale, soun, ooni...
