If you listen to Vlads interview it was Zelensky who renegaded on Minks agreement 2 by mistreating the Dombass and Luhanks region by forcefully trying to integrate them into Ukraine, agreed Putin took cremea in 2014 this was before Minks 1 agreement not to talk of the Minks 2 and this Region are native Russians, banned Russian culture and language in school etc..you know, flouting his power because of UK and NATO promises,and Vlad can't take it anymore when Zelensky submitted proposals to join NATO, who no Ukraine president in his right thinking will want to do so, the NATO members that backed him has exhausted all of their options even trying to get the US to engage directly.
You live closely to a super-power country you should have been at least friendly to them.

The issue of invasion is secondary here, that's what they want to use to buy sympathy from the world.
Any Ukraine president that pursues a policy of hostility to Russia will met Zelensky's fate in one way or the other.
Jettison NATO membership and form a policy of neutrality which be good for everyone.
Russia acted in Self-defense by rather being offensive,if not Zelensky has already perfected plans to join NATO and have NATO nukes and equipment surround Russia, which is dangerous for any Super-power thorns allow, but this Zelensky hated Russians and Putin so much that he was willing to do that,so that article V will be invoke anytime Russian tries to defend itself against Ukraine.

The Dombass region was marginalized they called to Putin to help, remember in the Minks 2 agreement these regions was allowed to assume autonomy,but Z thought he can do power and get away with it.
Yanovitch (if I get the spelling well) is the Pro-russian president of Ukraine that was toppled in 2014 by CIA and Z was almost installed by the west.
For lasting peace, Ukraine will have to be neutral.
