There will forever be five greatest-ever amongst men in Africa;

China Achebe,
Nelson Mandela,
Patrice Lumumba,
Kwame Nkrumah
and
Kofi Annan.

And lest we forget,
In terms of Black history and the greatest Blacks the world has ever known; Chinua Achebe stands at par with Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Marcus Garvey, Mohammad Ali and Booker T Washington.

These are not those who through politicking earned unmerited laurels and now speak so fluently from both sides of their mouths while turning blind when it is most convenient.

But people who detested value bribery and never lobbied to earn the reverence they will get till the end of time.
Thought fluency and oratory prowess, honesty and courage, defiance and unpopular personal convictions are a few of the many reasons some of those you rate will never be on this list.

In summary, if you do not respect Chinua Achebe, I do not respect your existence.

Im not Yoruba.

He was given scholarship to study medicine unfortunately he realized he was terrible at science courses so he decided to switch to English, he eventually graduated with a second degree in English and decided to punish Africa with his mediocre writings.
