We want an independent assessment and verification of these numbers being bandied around by APCs Internet hirelings and agbadorian dingbats alike. Once they start parrotingone propogandaline this way, be rest assured that the "talking point" was handed downto them by their tribal handlers at Abuja. It is starting to look as suspicious as the quantity of oil outputs they ascribe to South Eastern states. They will tell you the south-east produces no oil and contributes zilch to VAT, but once the same South east asks to be allowed to go, Abuja starts having a fit of fear laced with all sorts of public meltdowns. Let's have an independent assessment and verification.

Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool In January 2025 by MrHighSea: 8:54am On Mar 06, 2025
Abia and Osun states contributed their tithes.

Few states feeding the country yet there's clamour to create more states.

Such stat doesn't exist.

Why? Because VAT is usually recorded on point of sale. Which is not practised by Nigeria. Therefore there is no record of what states are contributing to VAT.

What we have in Nigeria is what headquarters are contributing, which is a wrong practice.
Because its not favouring you right?

You always reason like a fool. Ordinary tax your region can't generate. Feeding bottle republic. No wonder south east and north are not agreeing to tax reforms. I trust Tinubu and Lagos government cos they will soon increases tax in Lagos state if the tax reform bill continues to delay. Unpr6oductive region.

VAT is collected and calculated where the good or services is consumed all over the civilised world. Nigeria is not yet civilised, that's why consumptions made in the north and south are calculated as Lagos paid VAT simply because the headquarters of the multinationals are in Lagos.

This madness of VAT paid by state has to stop until they start calculating it like other civilised countries. All the Dangote cement bought in the east is calculated as Lagos VAT because the head office is in Lagos.

There's something obviously not clear about this VAT. How could Balyesa contributed more than Delta State. I will begin to see this VAT of a thing as rubbish

Look at what Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi and Abia is contributing, and their indigenes will open their parasitic mouth calling other people parasite.

I wander why VATs has to be centralized, it should be under the exclusive purview of the states.
Exactly my thoughts.

They have bad mouth when attacking other regions yet statistics keep proving them wrong.

Most of them are into drugs and other criminal activities which is what is deceiving them into thinking the state economies are good
Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool In January 2025 by Abee79(m): 9:02am On Mar 06, 2025
See the problem with our economy? Many States are receiving more than they contributed 🤔

Cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the Southsouth and Southeast sustains Nigeria, but the Agbadorians led by Bayo Onanuga want to tell Nigerians that tax from Lagos ports largely sustain Nigeria.

Ekiti created over ₦4b and Ondo less than ₦1b? When you ready you will release the correct version of VAT.

Oyo State generated 27bn from vat!! ,that is enough to turn that state around within 12month if they keep all the money to themselves for . 27bn x 12 is a lot and this is excluding internal state revenue generation

It seems dot-nation is a parasite.she would be struggling on his own if given chance. If not,you would be preoccupied, about 5 landlocked states alone and not South South.

Na that clueless Ademola Adeleke bad management in Osun State will destroyed the economy in Osun State. See where Osun is under his leadership. Very bad. I know vividly by next year 2026 governorship, he will be heavily disgraced out of the government house niii. He’s a disgrace to the good people of Osun State
so that oyetola can return and be paying his half salary
The vat is collected by fg it is a federal levy on consumption, it has nothing to do with adeleke
