It's not fake stat. It's verifiable. There's no way they can conjure numbers. If they produce fantasy numbers, the beneficiaries ( States, Ministries, etc) will voice out. And that'll be very embarrassing. So that's the stats of the money shared across board. MasterJayJay: |

Minjim:I understand you but in your opinion, Do you think this figure make sense when population has a direct effect on consumption. In fact , Delta State population is more than double of Bayelsa, Delta produces more oil than Bayelsa. It has companies more than Bayelsa. These are puzzles and there is no way people won't ask questions on they came about those figures... |

I think Lagos is under remitting the VAT it collects. All these banks head office collecting VAT on every transaction from your account are based in Lagos. I know how much VAT they remove from my account every month VAT on commission VAT on SMS VAT on fixed charge VAT on Account maintenance VAT on card maintenance VAT on transfer charges Lagos will keep shining teeth as if the VAT they are collecting are from people resident in Lagos. They use all these statistics to mock other states while in the real sense, people from these states are the ones contributing to their large statistics Nigeria NEEDS reform. |
| Re: What States Contributed To The VAT Pool In January 2025 by MasterJayJay: 10:01am On Mar 06, 2025 |
THEGALADIMA:I don't think you get the true picture. I said the stats are fake because they are wrongly classified. Note that VAT is paid by final consumer. Example: If I buy MTN recharge card in Abia, the VAT should be deducted under Abia. But that's not the case. What we have in Nigeria is deduction by headquarters, which is wrong. Someone buys recharge card in Aba and VAT is deducted under Lagos because the telecom has headquarters in Lagos The only true data of VAT collection is the one that actually states the collection at point of sales. |

The State that is full of ritualists and cannibalism. ..Isi Alaguwa , Nkwa , in Abia State is still a dreaded and notorious place for cannibalism and skill mining till date. ...FYI Developers crew who refuse to develop their region to be economically viable. ...no be juju be that? ![]() |

How is this stuff shared? There are States getting quadruple of what they contributed while those who contributed more get less. The imbalances is not morally right. |
