Armed military personnel have stormed the headquarters of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) in Lagos, News360 Nigeria reports.

According to reports, the soldiers, dressed in military uniforms, arrived at the company’s premises, located opposite MITV in Ikeja, around 7:40 am on Thursday.

As of the time of filing this report, staff and other individuals present in the office were being assaulted by the armed men.

The reason behind the invasion remains unclear.

Although police officers have intervened, the armed men, reportedly led by a woman, has refused to back down.

IKEDC disconnected them over their failure to pay for electricity.
If they don't want to pay for electricity then they should have their own independent electricity supply system. IKEDC is a private company that has workers to pay their salaries

That is not enough reason for them to be beaten. There are channels of reporting corruption or grievances . Taking the law into their hands is a no-no. I don’t think the military punish their erring personnel for these acts. It is quite sad .

😂😂 make them ask Kebbi state soldiers ooo.. they did the same thing to Kaduna electricity in 2022 and Kuduna electricity retaliated by cutting ✂️ off their electricity for months.. and the military had to apologise to for the light was restored..
