This is much needed. The numbers of correctional centres need to be reduced to enhance effective monitoring, management and maintenance. |

If some of the facilities are under utilized they should be closed down and the inmates spread across other centers, and upgrade should be done for those centers to take the maximum capacity. |

I totally agree with the minister and I sincerely hope hes able to achieve this. We really do not need 256 correctional centers, it’s complete waste of resources . |

That a man loses his freedom by virtue of being an inmate does not mean he should lose his dignity as a human being. I like this statement by the minister of interior. |

Facilities that are under utilized should be closed down and those over populated should be given more attention to Ascertain the course,especially cases where some inmate are awaiting trials |
