Nigeria government and ghost workers are 5 and 6. The ghost workers in Nigeria should be around 2M self, because we don’t have database for all Nigerians. Election is near, that’s when they always remember to increase salaries, they wouldn’t pay and many projects they will launch but wouldn’t even remember. This is not the time , this will only lead to more inflation and any Gain will be quickly eroded ..Govt should rather work in increasing the purchase power of the current salary by cutting electricity taarriffs , improving electricity supply , reducing some wicked import tarriffs that have achieved nothing, reducing the cost of any type of farming 3 Likes |

U are hinting instead of actually increasing it.. With the crazy inflation rate, can the minimum wage conveniently wage anyone in this current economy? |

SarkinYarki: Cutting electricity tarrifs? Where would the power companies then get the money to, you know, improve power supply? Remember, distribution and generation is in private hands, plus transmission gets a lot of its money from distributing companies...who pay for the privilege of using TCN facilities. Would you support government reducing your prices if you were in business...to reduce inflation and so forth? 2 Likes |
