The sexual harassment situation was essentially an issue between two persons, and basically one persons word against the other...if they were to adjudicate on that, the fair thing to do would have been to suspend both parties until they had sorted their issues, or recommend resolution outside of the senate.

They chose not to investigate the issue, and struck it out on technicalities, yet went ahead to punish one party, and it's clear that her "crime" of disrupting senate preceding's doesn't match the 6 month suspension so while they didn't attend to her petition, it didn't stop them from punishing her for daring to file it .

It's speaks to the state of things that our political office holders are moving like this.

If she is dragging Akpabio outside the Senate, then they can do that all day. The senate is not where to to settle personal issues

So if Senator A vs Senator B snatch each others sidechic, they can also come to Senate floor to argue and petition?

There is a code of conduct and ethics required of senators, in fact they have an ethics committee to see to issues of this nature, and that was the committee that sat on Elisha Abbo's assault case.

No, she said it was sexual harassment. That's what newspapers are reporting. That's what her image makers initially were pushing until it got to a head and they backtracked.

I once posted in 2019 of her alleging Reno molested her in 2014, just to win a spat when they had an online squabble in 2019. Later on, it turned out Reno wasn't even in the country or at the event she said she molested him. Maybe she is right; maybe not; but her history of false accusations already puts an asterisk on every word she utters.

We do not have event of what happened, Only she and Akpabio knows what happened in between them an its not a National matter. No one is telling her to bury the case but take him to court not to be wasting Senate time on personal issues

The problem with a lot of us is we get needlessly sentimental.
There are so many things wrong with the country. Akpabio, Tinubu, Wike, and others represent these things. We want to take it out on them and justifiably so.
But false sexual harrassment accusations isn't the way to go because of precedence. Haven't we learnt from so many high profile cases of false accusations?
I understand the need for them to face the law but it has to be for the right charges. Kick up a case of the EFCC going after Akpabio and I'd be the first to celebrate on this thread.
Don't try an armed robber for arson. Don't try an arsonist for burglary. Try them for exactly what they are guilty of. He who alleges must prove.
How come there's never any witness to her gazillion cases of sexual assault?
