Stabilization that makes multinational companies to close and relocate to other countries due to high cost of doing business cannot be said to be good economic policy. Also many SMEs had been folded up as a result high fuel price and electricity cost. High transport cost have even discouraged farmers from going to farm, what normally cost them 400 naira in term of transport, is now cost more than 2000 naira daily. How would a poor farmer afford this? May be it is their imposed policies, that is why they claimed it has stabilized our economy.

The lies of this tabloid, agency, satanic organization is second to none! How can an economy of 200M+ people be stabilized on 4K Megawatt electricity?

ehikwe22:
Who is IMF trying to deceive? Trillions of naira down the drain and only thing achieved is impoverishing the citizens.

You said you removed subsidy, increased the fuel price by 3x thereby pushing the economy into inflation. Then turned around to start paying more subsidy than has ever been paid. What did you achieve with subsidy? Absolutely nothing. Only used it to destroy the economy and threw people into abject poverty.

In the midst of all that, you announced floating of the dollars. The value of the dollars plummeted further adding more destruction from what subsidy announcement has caused. Then you turned around and started defending the naira with billions of dollars. What did you achieve with floating of the naira? Absolutely nothing. Only used it to destroy the economy and threw people into abject poverty.

Then you increased electricity tarriff. Turned around and started paying more money for power subsidization.

The question now is, did Tinubu do all these blunders deliberately or it's just sheer incompetence?

In my opinion, it's mixture of both but more of deliberate. He had a mandate to push more people into poverty to please his colonial masters. He also want to make decisions that wil give him more opportunities to steal
A lengthy piece of ignorance.. next time, keep quiet and stop embarrassing yourself.

Any country who is subjected to their imperialism is growing but otherwise like the likes of Libya during the time of Gaddafi is a terrorist country grin grin.
IMF was one of the evil IBB did to Nigeria before IMF Nigeria currency is 1:1 to USD and GBP. A country without 8hrs electricity, hyper inflation, and high-level of underdevelopment at every sector has its economy stabilized according to IMF.
OBJ & Yaradua were the only democratic government who dealt with this evil IMF. PBAT is just a French and IMF puppet angry
So aptly put!

Truly, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has succeeded in stabilising the economy and has made Nigeria less dependent nation. The economic recovery is fast and unprecedented, however this is at a great cost to the masses due to the heavy indirect tax burden. This has escalated the cost of living.
Don't always believe what these people says as a stake holder be interested real happenings
94tirillion investment lost
Manufacturers revenue loss end of 2024 was 1.4trillion
High level of poverty
How can you with all this indicators say the economy is stabilised
Everything should not be politics, lives are involved

Wailing wailers like these Lagosians who risk death in stampedes, fighting for daily bread in the absence of promised jobs for earning money for dignified existence huh

Glimpsetv:
A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.

The eyesore on Bourdillon Road
2nd January 2025

Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.

If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance. That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.

It's a pity that you have to seek the approval of those who care nothing about you. If the reforms are working like they say, the quality of life of the common man should be the litmus test to that.

See this agent of imperialism talking trash. Nonsense.

During IBB, same useless story. They used Kalu Idika Kalu as a front to convince the military "Gwonment" to go the IMF way and tell me what was the result? Ending up burying the economy.

These organisations owned by the world bank are highways to Golgotha.

They should pack one side abeg.

IMF don give Tinubu go ahead to collect more Tax be that..

By this Statement, they mean Tinubu should collect more Tax.

"I think one of the big priorities for the Nigerian government is to do more domestic resource mobilisation. Government revenues as a share of GDP are about 10 per cent, which is very low compared to its peers.
