The matter is simple.

Counter his piece with a superior argument - if you can.

Indeed the economy is stabilized. Most people are impoverished, and the Nation is still borrowing.

There are signs of improvement and stability, but are they worth all the price we've paid? All the businesses that went down? The jobs lost? The company that left the country?

Once IMF or World bank praise the economy of a third world country, then fear the worse.

A country where electricity rate is out of reach of the common man, where food cost, fuel and housing are skyrocketing and imf says the economy is balanced

The improvements are just starting. We shouldn't talk out of hatred for government all the time.
Food prices are actually coming down and fuel prices too. A kg of gas used to be 1300 in my neighborhood but has come down to 1050.
It's a slow and gradual thing.

Take the example of Argentina. When Millei took over the same time as Tinubu , he cut down on subsidies and devalued the peso from about 80 to a dollar to about 800 to a dollar, far worse than Nigeria's case. They called him Chainsaw Milei. Inflation rose to over 200% in Argentina. But the government could cut down on debts and save money. Today Argentina is inching up again.

Those who are educated should stop talking like illiterates. You can not continue to use 95% of your revenue to service debts and think you would not default and crash your economy in the nearest future. Some people think Jonathan and Buhari were actually our friends. They were our biggest enemies

Good job providing some useful information on the possible and real benefits of cutting subsidies (which I acknowledged anyway). Good job too throwing some subtle insults around. But bad job addressing my question.

God bless your thinking 🤔 faculty, especially your last paragraph.
Buhari was not even there,as his brother Lawan in the Senate was just signing anything as Loan and we incurred more Loans than anyone else in Federal Govt.
Most of the Loans can not be accounted for till date.
Very Shameful Indeed.

Reforms yes!

But not under an atmosphere of grand scale unbridled corruption and unprecedented kleptomania

To add insincerity and insensitivity ( looks like the man does not have blood flowing in his veins) how can you remove subsidy just because you feel only a few cabals are benefitting from.

he didn't stop there, proceeded to jacking up the price of almost everything including product and service especially electricity, pms by almost 1000% without a corresponding increase in wages? Uptil now minimum wage not implemented! Not to forget the imposition of multiple taxes on empty pockets.

You tax wealth not poverty and empty pockets (aka severely diminished purchasing power).

Is it not the corruption in the system and the corruption of the system they were supposed to confront and tackle instead removal of subsidy?

Maybe his regime has an agenda and on a mission to exterminate the citizens

Stabilizing doesn’t mean we’re sufficient for now, until we started gaining money.

With time, everything will be okay

-Is it that same Economy that your brother - Emiefiele destroyed by his Non -Approval of Ways and Means- NTrillions that is yet to Accounts for and the Multi- NBillions of Anchor Borrowers Farmers Money 🤑 gone to the Winds, you are talking about?
Or,are we so Jazzed in Nigeria that we lack a good Conscience and play a Tribal, Religion ☯️ and Ethic Cards all the time?
So,you don't know that the Effects of June 12-Annulments,by the Military and the Cumulative Evil 🙈 that Successive Govt did( States and Federal Govt),will continue to have Serious Negative impacts on the Nigerian Economy, including the Naira- for a long time to come?
So,if you don't borrow - from what have been Stolen, how do you make Replacements of what have been Stolen.
