Decision about Natasha's suspension wasn't made by Akpabio alone but majority of the senators.

Natasha's petition is even yet to be responded to by the Senate, why should they obey such order?
Are the senators bigger than the court of law?

Who ever issued such court order to an independent arm of the government for their internal processes should be debarred.

The day she came to submit the petition, the Senate president asked if the case is before any court, and she said No.

Nzeribe, a lawmaker from Imo state, was suspended indefinitely in November 2002 by then-Senate President Pius Anyim over allegations of N22 million fraud.

The senate suspended Abdul Ningi on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, for three months for alleging that the 2024 budget was padded by N3 trillion. He subsequently resigned as chairman of the Northern Senators Forum (NSF).
Are you justifying illegality?

I think it's beyond the court's jurisdiction, it's like suing the police for dismissal of an officer who goes against their by laws, it is an internal discipline mechanism all members sign up to.

You too think about it. How can judiciary stop legislature for deliberating on their internal process, like the house rule. If it's difficult for you, reverse it and see if it makes sense. Can legislators ask court not to pass judgement on a litigation in process?
Do you think Nigerians think?

Look for and Watch the interview of Cletus obum on Arise. He explained it so brilliantly that the 2 arise TV interviewers were speechless. And even I who thought they disobeyed court order realized one needs to be careful when listening to lawyers on TV. Just as in a court one lawyer will argue one way the other will argue the other, lawyers are merely giving opinions and often their opinions are not thorough.

Wow, what a reasoning.
This shows either illiteracy, mental illness, or a perverted sense of right and wrong. When you see everything from colored glass of tribe, religion, and politics then you have to come across this way. Sad.

Because that was their standing rule.

Their standing rule would determine and not a law court.

In addition, you are buttressing my point.

It is an internal affair by an independent arm of government.
Re: Senate Under Fire For Disobeying Court Order In Suspension Of Senator Natasha by Baffupdrizz(m): 4:38pm On Mar 07, 2025
Because of the doctrine of separation of powers, the argument whether the Judiciary can interfere with the internal proceedings of the Senate will take a century to debate. The right of the suspended senator ends where the rights of other of her colleague senators begin, and the basis of the Senate decision is that the suspended Senator had contravened the rules of the Senate both by refusing to SIT on the SEAT allocated to her, and for bringing the Senate into disgrace. By unanimous vote, she has been suspended from the Senate. It seems now that no matter the level of intervention, it will take the Senate to reinstate her if at all that will happen even after the 6 months.

The committee was saddled to first and foremost address Natasha's petition that she had officially presented before the Senate.

Stop twisting shit to suit your dunce narrative

The issue for which she was summoned was the disruption of senate proceedings. She tabled the petition after the matter of disruption had been referred

You're just an empty drum

ChiefJusticeFuc:
The judge that gave that court ruling to halt the disciplinary committee that was setup to look into a petition filed by Natasha accusing Akpabio of sexual harrasment will surely face disciplinary action from the NJC.

Justice Ojukwu had earlier ruled on a similar matter brought to her court by a federal legislator challenging the Senate from carrying out a disciplinary hearing that the matter was purely a legislative matter and not a judicious one and had the senator go back to face his peers in the senate.

For those low iQ imbes out there, , note that the disciplinary committee was setup by Akpabio to look into a petition filed by Natasha accusing the SP of sexual harrasment. Natasha then ran to court to stop the committee from inviting her which is only natural to hear first hand from the petitioner .

How can you submit a petition and refuse to honour the invitation of the senate disciplinary committee setup to investigate your claims of sexual harassment?

This is akin to a woman going to the police to report someone of sexually harassing her and then going to get a court order baring the police from inviting her to substantiate your allegations ?

But we know most of you are either raving mad or just low iQ ferets or both.
Natasha filed a petition against Akpabio. How then do you think that a committee set up by the accused (Akpabio) will do justice to the matter?

The honourable thing was for Akpabio to step aside pending the conclusion of such investigation. He cannot be the judge in his own matter.

You are funny.

So you expect the SP to step down anytime he or she is accused of wrong doing ?

Were are the facts ?

The best platform to prove her accusation of sexual harrasment was before that committee that had adopted to have its session open to the public and televised live.

If Natasha had any evidence to back up her accusation , won't the disciplinary committee be the best place to present it both before the senate and Nigerian public ?

3 branches of government, the judiciary cannot intefere with bylaws or operations of the legislative, just like the legislative cannot intefere with judicial matters. The sooner some of yall realize this the better!

The case is betwen Akpabio and Natasha, the Senate cannot be dictated to, it's not done anywhere! The censurship or suspension of a Sentae member is an internal issue not one that can be judged by an external body!
