Sanwo-Olu Celebrates 2025 International Women's Day (pictures) by Lanrelagboi(op): 5:09am On Mar 08, 2025
Today, at the 2025 International Women’s Day celebration at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, I reassured the women of Lagos State that our administration will continue to empower them through intentional actions and policies that ensure they are seen and heard.

Our commitment to fostering inclusiveness and achieving gender equality for the progress and development of Lagos State, which is in line with our THEMES+ agenda, is unwavering.

This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” calls on us to move beyond rhetoric and take decisive steps toward gender equality and women’s empowerment. We must address the inequalities and barriers that still hinder women.

Here in Lagos State, we don’t just say it; we are actively implementing it through policies that empower women across all sectors.

Our programs demonstrate our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where women are genuinely empowered. We have invested in initiatives that foster self-sufficiency, leadership, and economic participation.

True progress requires collective action, and I encourage all men to join the movement for gender equality. Sustainable change can only happen when men and women work together in harmony.

We remain committed to empowering women through deliberate action, fostering inclusiveness, and addressing gender inequalities, all aimed at achieving sustainable development in Lagos State.

As a Man, try to celebrate yourself .... It's not Easy. The world does not recognize u unless u are wealthy.

The number of celebration held for female gender alone in a year is more than 7 or 8. After all this one idiiat female gender will still come out and shout that they want gender equality.

Well happy women's day to all strong mothers who trained their sons and daughters well, who supported their husbands, family to build a peaceful, happy and properous home.

This to me are real women, for the feminist, woke and Gen z clowns, I have nothing to tell you.

Meanwhile note

it is only a Nigerian girl you will see preparing for marriage and she only has #5k or less in her account.
With a mind blowing milage!!

It is only a Nigerian girl that knows what she deserves, but has 0 account balance, no job and her parents can't even afford to give her what she thinks she deserves.

It is only a Nigerian girl that believe what she deserves should be funded by a man's pocket.

Very delusional Woke, Feminist, Gen z & Beauty without brains

The dumbest Governor in Africa!

Adeleke would have too the chart but still do consider Osun states resources, allocation and IGR!

Look at the furniture in Alaina that celebrates everything while sinking the state in massive debts that the generation of his own grandkids can never pay off.

Some dumb Lagosians be celebrating mediocrity. Give them a tarred 20km road and they will start clapping! After the dreams of Awolowo was killed, demons took his facelift to loot people.

They keep telling you Eko’o ni ‘ baje while they hip debts on the unborn.

Before any morafvcker attack my person, know am a son of the soul, Not a bastard that will deceive my people.

Their kinds will only deceive unexposed illiterates who have not seen, or have an idea about what progressive leadership is about!

Mega city with touts in every bus stop and land grabbers in every corner. Education and healthcare not even a force in west Africa and you see dem dumb followers celebrating backwardness

What an irony! Here is a governor, celebrating International Women's Day, in a State that just ousted a woman as the Speaker of the Assembly.

What has he to say about women?

You just validated why Joseph didn't escape prison what if Natasha is lying sad neither Natasha or Akpabio is right until proven by thorough investigation undecided
.las las Akpabio nor even touch her body or try to force himself on her . Abi sexual harassment don get another meaning ni . Natasha only rode on the public negative sentiment against Akpabio, what if Natasha saga is a political tool by the NC to unseat Akpabio. FYI: Natasha and Akpabio were good family friends. And what if Natasha dey vex 4 Akpabio bcs of some personal issues.
Never trust a manipulative woman with 6 children and 6 different husbands.
Natasha might have even give Akpabio the Kukunase who knows before yawa gas grin. Akpabio and Natasha matter nah normal relationship issues between a toxic woman who uses emotional blackmail as a shield

Na so.
When it's Father's day, you'll see the women saying things like congratulations to all the "responsible " men. Or trying to congratulate themselves because they're single mothers "performing the job of men in their kids lives"
So my own here is

Happy International Women's Day to all the responsible women out there, and to all the Men performing the role of women in their children's lives.

I totally agree with you and most south westerners residing in Lagos knows these fact. It is just what it is now mate, it's someone's turn and it'll change later. I will not mention names and only one name I will say ruled Lagos with fairness, accountability, transparency, effectively and above all, fear of the Creator. Late Lateef Jalande! May Allah give him the highest place in Jaana..Amin!!!

Note: even if half baked jandor rules Lagos for 10years, he would be worst than his predecessors. We need to just phase out some distorted souls.
