If the NBC follows through on its review, Nigerians could soon see FTA channels that are truly free, advertising revenue that is more evenly distributed, and streaming platforms that reinvest in local content rather than extracting profits without giving back.Good news for those who are into media and advertisement. aminulive:A very good question! If they can follow through with this, it's definitely going to signal operators in other sectors to sit up. I have stopped subscribing for about three years now. I am hardly at home - leaves 6:30am and returns 9:00, and there's usually no light; yet you want me to be paying monthly. If they can force them to start the pay-as-you-watch, I believe many Nigerians will not be subscribing monthly. |

On this one. Nigerian government has failed us. Dstv and gotv see Nigerians as mugu that's why they increase their subscription almost every month and our government just dey look without doing anything. If dstv can operate pay as you watch in south African, why can't they replicate it here? |

This hike is here to stay. Agbado munchers can die. Nobody wan open business to dey lose money. Naira has been devalued by more than 1000% recently . No complaints. The hike . Just like in the telecommunications. It must stay for these people to improve their services and also take something home as well |
