Church Is Not The Building. It's The People!

Matthew 18:20 (KJV)

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

So wherever people gather in Jesus' name, Jesus will be there, because His church is not a building but the people.

Jesus doesn't care about all the magnificent edifices church leaders were busy building these days as He will never dwell in them.

He only dwells in the hearts of His people.

So our priority ought to be building and preparing the hearts of the people so it will be a befitting dwelling place for the Lord.

Goat talk. The people, under right conditions, are the body of Christ and the church building is the closest thing to a 'church' because that's where the gathering of the church body takes place most.
By now this cyber fraud parading as a preacher should have had a vibrant youtube channel or website to promote his building-less church model he so much uses to hate on others .

Yes but Jesus cares about the sheeps gathering under one roof in His name and the bigger that roof, the more souls can be reached out to per time. I am sure you prefer only two views or replies to this thread than 1000 replies and views because, off course, Nairaland is not the church, the people are. Nonsense.

Praising God, Worshipping, and Praying with your wife and kids alone is acceptable to God. Walking in God's path crowns it all

We are the church hence the need to see our body as the temple of God.

The church is not just the building or the people.but, the Spirit of God in every one that gathered in His name.
Religious people can gather together to pray, sing and talk about the gospel,if His spirit isn't at work in that gathering it's all futile.

The woman asked Jesus, where should I go and worship God. Jesus should have answered anywhere or either place or picked temple or a mountain but Jesus said

John.4.21 - Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
John.4.22 - Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
John.4.23 - But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John.4.24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

GOD doesn't dwell in churches
But Nigerian churches have made it look like they have God inside their churches

Adam in genesis is a type of the last Adam which is Christ,his wife eve is a type of the church, which is the bride/wife of Christ.
