I Am Building A Strong Coalition To Challenge APC – Atiku by iwaeda(op): 10:03am On Mar 09, 2025
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has dismissed reports that he had left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 elections renewed his support for a coalition of political parties to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Recently, various reports suggested that Atiku was considering leaving the PDP in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.

He was finalising moves to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP), according to the reports

Ganduje, Barau receive Atiku’s support groups in 19 Northern states

Reacting in a statement issued on Saturday, Atiku’s media office said the former vice president remains a bonafide member of the PDP.

While describing the reports as a “fallacy”, the media office urged Nigerians to disregard them.

The media office said Abubakar has persistently called for a coalition of opposition political parties in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general election to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The media office stressed that the coalition would accommodate all opposition parties, including the PDP.

We have observed that some news platforms are peddling unverified information that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is abandoning the Peoples Democratic Party,” the statement reads.

“We wish to clarify that the so-called news of Atiku defecting to another party is a total fallacy that holds no merit in logic.

“Hence, it is fallacious and unfounded to allege that the Waziri is jumping the PDP ship. Such an allegation is antithetical to the objective of the grand coalition, which the former Vice President is currently driving alongside other prominent political leaders in the country.

“We, therefore, wish to state unequivocally that Atiku remains a principal bonafide member of the PDP, the main opposition party.

“The defection claims are an attempt to confuse Nigerians about the magnitude of the grand coalition that is at work to rescue Nigeria from the grip of the APC”.

Tinubu knows how to use power, he is not ready for your free and fair election, the 2027 Presidential election result is already fixed, the earlier you guys realize this the better for you all undecided

No one who didn't vote for Tinubu regrets the decision, but today many who worked, supported, and voted for Tinubu are regretting their decision, weeping and gnashing their teeth, and praying earnestly, looking forward to an opportunity to correct that costly mistake.

The reality you must accept is that the majority of Nigerians didn't vote for Tinubu, and that the majority will still not vote for Tinubu because he hasn't done anything to uplift the living standards of Nigerians. Rather, he has made it worse than he met it.

Keep building Sir. But the truth is, you may never complete building till you retire from politics completely.

If not for greed, someone like Atiku should be an Elder stateman by now and not still thinking of becoming President.

Atiku is one of the major reasons Wike still remains in PDP, just to make sure he didn't become a flag bearer, not to talk of becoming President.

Also, the likes of Bode George don't want Atiku as PDP's candidate in 2027.

Only death will make PBAT not rule till 2031.

The biggest joke so far is Atiku......

He didn't form this coalition to defeat Buhari but wants to defeat Tinubu.......

Atiku that his state people don't even like him.... Someone who betrayed his principal and use his Northern relationship with the senate to intimate Obasanjo.....

Atiku that only Wike will teach a lesson?

Is he really hoping that El-rufai will make any difference to moving the North to vote him? El-rufai that is just a talkative and someone that can never go to southern Kaduna to campaign for Atiku?

Igbos are doing well despite the situation. Igbos will always do well because over the years, Igbos have positioned themselves to do well no matter how bad the Nigeria's economy and leadership is.

A lion never eat grass no matter how hunger hits the land.

If Igbos were economically underprivileged like the North, 2023 Presidential election heist by Tinubu/INEC was enough to cause nationwide chaos, but no because most Igbos are gainfully employed in either their trade, business, menial, artisan, middleclass and well paid jobs, while most are abroad shrugging it out, so no courage or desperation to hit the streets like the North that's ravaged by hunger, mass unemployment and poverty due to large population of idle, hungry young people, whose elites and the upper class depend mostly on government help, aid, jobs, contracts, appointments and whatnot for survival.

One of the reasons some of us Igbos wanted Peter Obi to emerge President aside his good leadership credentials, was to bring peace and security back to Southeast that used to be one of the safest regions in Nigeria until Satan Buhari became President in 2015 and used wickedness, nepotism and inhumane policies to destabilize Southeast and push some senseless Igbo youths to the edge.

We believed Peter Obi's emergence would have buried the cry of political marginalization by Igbo youths and possibly buried the issue of Biafra secession forever as they wouldn't have any other reason to agitate or complain of marginalization.

So only the North deserve to revolt against bad government like Tinubu's own because they suffer the most of it.

Dont get me wrong; Igbos do have poor people, but the number of poor and completely idle people in Igbo land is less than those in any other region of Nigeria and the reason is not far fetched; Igbos dont rely on paid jobs or government like most regions. They always resort to self help and self development, and couple with the fact that they dominate trade, commerce and small scale businesses in Nigeria, it helps reduce the number of idle youths in Igbo region compared to other regions.

And it's not easy to catch up with Igbos when it comes to business and trade because Igbos have spread all over the world over the decades making it easier for an Igbo person to startup business today with ease. While others mocked them for always touring the world including unheard countries and regions, they dont know that it's a huge advantage to Igbos and their business endeavors. That was the same thing that made Europe to dominate and conquer the world, Chinese are repeating same today.

So people should keep laughing at Igbos migrating to Cambodia, Nauru, Tivalu, Kiribati, etc, while the sophisticated tribes focus on migrating only to developed countries like UK, US, France, Canada, at the end of the race, we shall count miles grin

Pushing people, how?

We all want a better Nigeria, including Tinubu and his household but as a typical black African man he is, even as he knows that he cannot bring about the positive change Nigerians desire, he will never step aside and allow competent people to do it, he will rather prefer to sit tight and amass dirty wealth that his 30th generations can't finish, so in that case, only a people's revolution led by the most affected region and people can stop him, hope you gerrit now? cool

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has dismissed reports that he had left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 elections renewed his support for a coalition of political parties to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
As long as he still behave naively the way he has always been, forming posh, forming gentleman he and obi will not have my support, it will be a wasted effort,

“We have observed that some news platforms are peddling unverified information that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is abandoning the Peoples Democratic Party,” the statement reads.
