May her soul continue to rest in peace. Singles and Married was so popular back then. That programme touched so many lives. It helped many homes. Sosoliso airline crash was very terrible, with several kids on board that Ill fated flight.

For those calling me a kid, I'm almost 40. We all did not grow in the South West. Bimbo was big for you, the way Ene was for me. Why is this a problem?

This woman died before I even heard of her.
I doubt your age oga. No guy at your age would not know Pastor Bimbo. Even we in the northern part of Nigeria were familiar with that name. Stop lying.

First time I heard about Bimbo Dukoya was in 2005 after that plan crash and the way people talked about her then it was as if I was the only person that never heard of her. I went on to buy one of her books and it has greatly blessed me and helped me achieve a peaceful marriage.

But this pastor Nkechi Ene who I guess is still alive, I've never heard of her.

Pastor Bimbo Odukoya was a renowned Nigerian televangelist, counselor, and author who empowered generations through her ministry. Born on September 12, 1960, she co-founded The Fountain of Life Church with her husband, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, and founded Discovery for Women, a platform offering mentorship and spiritual guidance. Her teachings, books, and TV program "Single and Married" addressed real-life issues in relationships and marriage. Despite her demise in 2005, Pastor Bimbo's legacy lives on through her foundation, which combats domestic violence and sexual abuse.

If you have not heard of pastor Bimbo Idukoya of blessed memories, you are living in the stone age. People used to listen to his Sunday program on TV from Canada, South Africa, America, and other places...she used to have a program on different TV in Nigeria and outside Nigeria...she used to have a program on TBN, the most Christian-popular TV in the world...anyway, perhaps you are not a Christian....those who were Christians when she was alive knew her very well.
Nigerians and hyping are like 5 and 6. She became famous after her death, oga. I didn't even know her until that Sosoliso plane tragedy. How many people in Nigeria watch marriage and singles programs? These programs and seminars are mostly followed by fickle-minded individuals, without any disrespect intended.

Marital counseling that some preachers have turned into a core ministry today is an insignificant part of the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith. See you deriding a believer because he said he didn't know a marriage counselor. Get a life! sad

Amazingly, I have never heard of the said Nkechi Ene. But I will go dig up videos about her; probably she's a good teacher, since the person whose mention you replied thought it wise to bring up her name.

Whatever your feelings about her are, the fact remains that she has left an imprint in the sands of time, and the entire world can feel her impact. Tell me if any of your Ibo ancestors have had an impact on their generation in the same way that she has. Just one.
...tell me any of your Ibo people whose fame has survived the shores of your Nnewi or Onitsha...you are here downplaying someone with multiple global awards...your tribalism against Yoruba people will soon destroy you.

The entire world feeling what impact?

I hate to talk about the dead but could she not pray for journey mercies after all she is a whole Pastor.

I wonder if she was one of those that also makes forecast at the beginning of the year as is fashionable with charlatan Nigerian Pastors, why didn't she see that coming?

Also, there is no need to bring Ndigbo into this.
