That’s not the reason I was expecting. From my experience the removal of those solar panels by tenants when they are leaving, leaves holes on the roof cover. So the tenant has vacated your property but you are then left with a damaged roof cover to replace.
The only reason I am letting a tenant install solar panels on my roof is if they are willing to leave them behind when they are vacating.

This is the first time I am seeing this, 90 percent of houses in my area have solar panels but nothing of such. This is probably due to wrong installation.

Wait o, how many cases of solar panel fire incidents are actually on record? Are these not AI generated images? There are solar panels on almost every roof in the street where I live, never heard or seen such fire scenario.

Anyone resisting solar power installations in this age should retire to the forest.

The only reason I am letting a tenant install solar panels on my roof is if they are willing to leave them behind when they are vacating.

Why not ask them to repair the hole while leaving instead of asking them to leave them behind while vacating. When a new tenant comes in you will now claim that you did it and charge for it. Typical Nigerian landlord cheating on people!

I didn’t want anyone to destroy my Gerald roof during the solar installation.

I built a separate shed for the solar panel and i can even sit under the shed to be chilling during the day and night

There is nothing as good as separation of concerns.

Even though transformer blows, worse come to worse, they would change it but if solar panel catch fire like in the picture below and your family is not at home, do you know that your home could be burnt down in minutes?

It's a lie, my landlord don't have solar, but he approves of it when I wanted to install mine.

1. Thunder strikes. Solution is to have lightening arrestors on the roof. Also, grounding to earth.

2. Improper wiring. Solution is to use wires of the appropriate grade in linking the panels and other components.

3. Air gap missing between solar panels and roof. Solution is to ensure there should be space for air flow under the panels so there is no heat trapped between panels and roofing.

The OP is only soliciting for enlightment

Nothing can compare to having solar light. Whenever nepa takes light everywhere turns dark with the exception of your house that is full of light.
Zero amount again to spend after you install it, everything is free and enjoyment. Infact I just got the panels mopped of dirt particles now as I am reading this post for stronger sunlight reception.
But if you are a tenant, out of jealousy your landlord may not want to allow you to put solar panels on his roof.

I am sure that if you were a landlord, reading this would also force you to have a rethink when it comes to your tenants using solar panels on the roof. I've seen cases of solar panels ending up in flames, so it's not backward to take precautions.

Nobody prays to spend several millions of naira on a house and then losing it to a fire incident.

Tenants can always mount their panels elsewhere.

That is what I am thinking too. My roof is Gerald and I dont want anything to tamper with it in the course of installation

The cause of burning solar panels like the picture depicts above is when the solar power is being overloaded.
They help in calculating the load your solar panel can carry, if it can't be enough, you shed your appliances. Use 1 for some hours before changing etc.
Just get a good solar person for consultation.

Do solar panels carry loads or simply charge batteries?what can cause this is substandard wires or using low sizing of wires,high DC arc,lack of breakers or not enough gap btw roof & panels to dissipates heat.

Wrong installation. Or fake Panels.
