We have quandit and non-quandit wiring in the roof, that can boom if there is a wrong connection or bad wire. Have we stopped putting wires in the roof?

Anyways, I do not subscribe putting panel on roof simoly because of my roofing sheet style. But for fire, ensure you are using quality materials, thats all

I hope you are not trying to say that the solar panels caught fire on it's own because I doubt this story.

Look at the pictures very well, you'll see that the fire is coming from under the panel (inside the building).
Moreover, it is 97.8% practically impossible for a solar panel that generates D.C power source to ignite such.
Also, this incident didn't happen in Nigeria.

exactly, the guy that installed the one at our place too, did the wiring separately from the main house wiring connected to the grid….I just think to avoid any unforeseen circumstance, contact a professional installer.

Overload of the battery can affect the panel. I mentioned overload of solar power.
Just like electricity, everything can burn when too much load is on it (change over get burnt), why? because everything is connected.
I understand the wiring etc part too. I've not seen one physically burn but people have worked with have seen, in this same Nigeria.

you understand absolutely nothing about either Physics or electrical engineering.
A solar panels is merely a battery charging component,it powers nothing even if it does it's miniscule to the extent that it's power is not enough to burn or ignite anything..the change over, electrical circuits you mentioning are constantly under loads .am trying to explain like 5 years old so that you won't say am using industry jargons to confuse you.

No mattwr the load on the battery oe inverter..its does not affect the solar panel.

Let me explain how electrical current works..just like a river with its source,the river current from its source is moving from point a to b ,that movement is the power..the speed at which the water moves is the current..somw might be slow,some fast like rapids...power can diffee depending on size ans depths of water , especially power is mainly by volume.

Has you will hardly see a river flowing back to its source same way you can never see a battery overloading a solar panel.

Even if the chances are 1/1000, the landlord is not willing to take an inch of that risk for you.

There is solution to every problem.

One can easily create a stand in an open space in the compound to mount your solar panel.

I have seen such in many places. It's not necessarily you mount your solar on the roof of a house

The picture is not even in Nigeria.

Mind you, solar panels if properly installed, with a good installers you won't have issue like this. I and my friends have installed many with no single complain before.
