Wahala ...I'm tempted to criticize the customs officers for compromising road safety for other road users 🤔, but considering the state of the country, I worry that they might be transporting illicit goods, such as arms or other hazardous materials.

Or simply follow the truck while calling for serious backup from sister agencies. No need chasing the driver for so long - that trailer driver might crush them and still get away. They would have just copied his plate number, call/inform other officials - police or soldiers at the next checking point to stop/block him. Or don't they communicate with other forces?
