Armed Herdsmen Attack Benue Community, Kill 11, Set Houses Ablaze by Infoguy666(op): 9:58pm On Mar 09, 2025
At least 11 people have been killed, with several others injured, following an attack by suspected armed herdsmen on Mbagena community in Mchihe Council Ward, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State, News360 Nigeria reports.

According to local sources, the attackers also set houses ablaze and looted food barns, leaving the community in distress.

A resident explained that the armed assailants first invaded the community on Friday night, then returned on Saturday around 7 p.m. in larger numbers, unleashing terror.

“They came back, shooting and killing anyone in sight. They also burnt homes and destroyed farm produce stored in food barns,”
the source said.

As of Sunday morning, 11 bodies had been recovered, while several others remain missing. Many injured victims have been taken to hospitals in Katsina-Ala Town for treatment.

Confirming the incident, Chairman of Katsina-Ala LGA, Mr. Justin Shaku, described it as an unprovoked attack.

The killings occurred between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday. About 11 people lost their lives, while seven others with serious injuries are receiving treatment in undisclosed hospitals,” he said.

He further disclosed that he was at the scene alongside a member of the House of Representatives representing Sankera axis, working with the locals to arrange burials and assist affected families.

President General of Mzough U Tiv (MUT) Worldwide, Chief Iorbee Ihagh, condemned the attack and urged authorities to deploy more security personnel to the affected area to prevent further bloodshed.

Reacting to the incident, Governor Hyacinth Alia, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, expressed deep condolences to the affected families and condemned the loss of innocent lives and destruction of homes.

“This level of cruelty is deeply offensive and will not be tolerated,” the Governor said.

He assured the public that those responsible would be brought to justice, stating that security forces had already been deployed to the troubled area.

“We are working closely with local law enforcement and community leaders to ensure our people can live peacefully, free from fear and violence,” he added.

Governor Alia also urged Benue residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, emphasizing that security remains a top priority for his administration.

“Together, we will overcome this challenge and strengthen our resolve to protect our homes and loved ones.”

As of press time, efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Catherine Anene, for official comments were unsuccessful.

What is the crime of Benue people against Nigeria?

These people are being wiped out,.and it seems Nigerians are happy about it or perhaps they don't care.

Is Nigerian Army giving tactical support to these Jihardists.

They won't do anything now, but if the people of Benue decided to defend themselves, then the Army start one "Operation Nonsense"..

I am.ashamed.thr be called a Nigerian.

To be honest I am moved by the unnecessary and unwarranted killings in this country named Nigeria, in a country where it's citizens can't own or purchase arms to defend themselves legally yet it's citizens are killed like goats on daily.

Yet, there are people who would defend this politicians with thier life's and claim them to be the Messiah.

This is the reason why I sometimes don't feel anything when I read such news, Nigerians love their tormentors and worship them like gods.

In a sane country where people walk around with working brains, the people would have revolted against this evil and devilish way of leadership, where the masses who are the majority are drenched in poverty, while the politicians who are the minority wallow in endless riches.

One day, one day we would learn and do what's right. I rest my case

At this point, the Benue people should take up arms and defend themselves. If the government can't protect them against these marauding herders, they should protect themselves

When will this government declare total ban on open grazing and order community people to slaughter any cows on sight?

Is it because Escobar is desperate for second tenure and doesn't want to upset the caliphate? So second tenure is more important than the lives of helpless Nigerians? undecided

Very sad indeed.
Nigeria is like the Savannah where 3 or 4 lions lay ambush and attack a large herd of buffaloes numbering 100s. Note each buffalo weighs 3x more than 1 lion. These lions figured out a way to terrorize the buffaloes, scatter them, and them pick them out one by one for dinner.
The Fulani plan in Nigeria didn't start today, 50 years ago they figured out a way to turn Nigeria, especially the Benue Plateau people into killers of Igbo people, for no good reason--- really. The mostly Christian Igbos were the only obstacle to their dream of conquering Nigeria. Fulanis recruited the Gowons, the Danjumas, and the Usenis to decimate Igbos, and they surely did.
Today, Gowon "prays" while Danjuma is busy enjoying the loot of the war with very productive oil field. His kinsmen? Well, they're now mostly in IDP camps while their villages have taken over by Fulanis from foreign countries, and of course their villages have been since renamed with befitting Fulani names.
When you tolerate or participate in evil on your neighbors, don't forget that you are next in line.

Is there something about Benue people we fail to understand?

These killings have been going on for like 15 years and in all, I've never heard of the killers captured or even one of the attackers injured.

Are Benue men so weak?
Not rubbing it on their faces, I am just genuinely baffled.

Government build ranches so that this cows can stay in the ranch and the herdsmen feed and take care of their cows in the ranch..this will avoid open gazing and herdsmen carrying cows around people farms, villages and communities which will reduce and stop all this clashes, violence and killing

APC and Buhari has corrupted the word “terrorism” that it almost has disappeared from our collective memories.

We have become so used to calling them armed herdsmen or bandits.

Even our leaders have lost all feelings of shock and empathy that they hardly offer words of consolation to the affected families or even go after the terrorists.

In most civilized countries the loss of a single life in such a horrific way, will require immediate action and press statements from the president, Governor or city leaders.

But definitely not in Nigeria.

What a country!

Are you not ashamed of saying this?

Is fulani people still ruling?

Are you now saying that they are the one still controlling our government?

Stop saying rubbish

Most Nigeria tribe especially northern tribes are timid. They kill them and they always move on like nothing happened.

Benue tribes are just foolish. You will see them still having tribal clash among themselves apart from fulani killings instead of them to team up and flush fulani out.

This is how Hausa, a majority tribe is being ruled and suppressed by minority tribe fulani till today

...... this is direct result of the deal APC made with the devil in 2015 !!

It's a depopulation+food insecurity agenda driven killings, planned by Obama/CIA and other agencies/leading NWO (new world order) satanists/occultists etc.

Emilokan's deal is to not hinder the agenda and continue where Buhari's 8 years holocaust left off !!

So called Reverend Father lying through his teeth that the perpetrators will be brought to justice, when he knew none of them over the last 20 years have been arrested or brought to justice. Nobody cares anymore, look at how scanty the thread is shows how Nigerians don't give a fvck anymore because if you refuse to defend yourself after 20 years of almost daily slaughter then the problem is you not those Fulani animals.

Where Are The Cows? Is Evans A Herdsman?'

When Funke Olakurin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti was murdered instead of Bola Tinubu to make sure that the perpetrators were brought to book, he ended up making fun of the death of the young lady by turning everything into tribalism by showing his hates for Igbos.

Tinubu has never spoken against the deadly activities of Fulani herdsmen across the country

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.

Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....

However, the leader of the team, identified only as Tambaya, and three others are yet to be found.

Tambaya has been declared wanted by the police and he is said to be capable of communicating in Hausa, Fulfude and Pidgin English.

Are you a Senegalese?

Documented facts abound of the connivance of Nigerian army which is populated by northerners and headed mostly by Fulani ranking officers aiding killer herdsmen to subdue communities.

It happened in plateau, benue Oyo nasarawa Enugu.
