Afolue:African food shops are everywhere, you fool. The ones in the U.K. (from Peckham to Doncaster to Granby Street) are generally cheaper than the Naija market. Yes, certain particular things might not be as fresh or easily available (like Abakaliki rice, efo-tete, ugboguru) but otherwise you can get everything you need, and people do and have done for the past-several decades. This nonsense-idea that Nigerians abroad have to make do with non-Nigerian food needs to stop. Only a person totally ignorant of life abroad would say that. Life’s tough at the best of times wherever you are in the world but Naija feeding isn’t a problem for Nigerians abroad who live in nations where there are sizeable Afro-Caribbean communities. Mind yourself, because if I disgrace you now you honestly won’t like it. Chin-chin and akpu are sold on the streets of London and you think nothing dey U.K.? |

Probz:your ancestors don swear for you wallahi. Food kill you there. Amongst all na only food you see talk. Now spitting nonsense. Your mates are in African living in the luxuries you are bragging about but instead your own na to dey fool yourself while washing the white man’s pants and toilets claiming you’re living a better life. Nonesense fella. If all Africans should leave for abroad who will remain? Na your type dey mak white men look down on us too easily White man using your own resources in abundance and paying you peanuts from it you and you are proud. People leave yankee to live in their home country and doing well Nothing you say that exist there, can ever be like the home country it’s coming from. You for sey iya alagbo full there too na. |

Afolue:Spoken like someone who a.) doesn’t know me at all and b.) has never left the village. Don’t think I’m some latest JAPA recruit. You don’t know what I’ve done for black people in general and Igbos across the globe. Don’t think I’m some uncle Tom who sucks up to the white man for the sake of it. You really don’t know me. |
