Na wa o!

Carnivore diet will drill a hole in your pocket. This is the primary reason I have never tried it.

Carnivore diet. That's a new one.
So, what makes it different from keto diet?

It is actually cheaper for me. I no longer snack, dine in restaurants, I cut all my carbs 100%. I have saved a lot of money already on this diet.

Keto is meat and some veggies with fruits, Strict carnivore avoid any plant based food like veggies as they may lead to inflammations and some fruits have natural sugar. Both Carnivore and Keto have the same goal, zero carbs and putting the body in a fat burning mode, the body now relies on animal fat for energy instead of carbs and sugars. You lose weight faster and become more healthier,

To embark on this requires huge budget to be effective.

It is actually cheap for me as I eat once a day. No breakfast and no dinner. I stopped dinning out as I used to spend about $300 every week outside in restaurants. I lost craving for food and snacks and feel healthier. Today, I will make beef liver, steak, shrimps and five fried eggs in butter or Ghee.
I am yet to have my breakfast and I already walked about two hour today. I still have so much energy and will be making my only food after my class.

Since you are outside this shores. You can easily pull it off.

Here, it will be a herculean task .

Hmm! That IS strict.
Seeing all that proteins make me 😰 but then, what are blueberries doing in that plate?

Haven't you gotten bored with it?
I don't think I'd be able to cope with such a strict diet.

That was my first time and subsequently, I stopped with them. I eat in the afternoon once a day and never get hungry or tired

So, is the diet for a certain period of time, or are you just going to continue with it?

I will continue for about one year, then slowly introduce fruits and vegetables. The rest of my life, I may never eat bread and , will never eat three meals a day. I am planning on building lots of muscles starting from next week and need lots of protein. I will never eat vegetable/olive oil again. I feel so good now like I am on drugs just by changing my diets. My fear is if I am able to sustain these as I am moving to Nigeria later this year and there are lots of good food in Nigeria. I will try my best to keep this going as much as possible.

My brother, I am off of T2D medications, and my blood pressure has normalized. My sleep apnea is gone and for the first time in two years, I sleep well without the aid of Melatonin.

Before I started on my diet, my day would be crap if I did not have at least 7 hours of sleep. Last night, I only slept for 5 hours and still woke up energetic enough to walk for about two hours in the morning and still feeling good. I have cut all forms of natural and artificial sugar and, zero carbs. I felt the way I did about 15 years ago.

My family doctor was hell bent on increasing my medications, and I refused, as most doctors are not trained in food and nutrition. This is the first time in 5 years that my blood pressure is perfect, as I take readings every day.

Also, madam may not approve, as it may be a journey you will take alone. The day I started, Madam cooked a big pot of Afang soup with pounded yams, and I was sorely tempted, but thank God more mercies, she is trying to convince me to cheat for a day and break my diet, and I am seriously resisting. Now, I even have more energy to fight. grin

But u are using avocado which means its still keto and besides I heard its causes elevated LDL, bad cholesterol and increased risk of heart diseases eventually.

Today, I had lamb, five eggs mixed with buttered beef liver, some fried pacific shrimp. As a matter of fact, I am still eating.

I only eat once yesterday and was never even hungry while preparing this meal. I spent two hour at the gym because of so much energy from my diet.
I left out the Avocado today even though I was sorely tempted.

You can also do chicken and turkey, right?
Otherwise, you'd easily get fed up.

I will add chicken and turkey when I get tired but honestly, it's hard to get tired of beef.
Re: My Carnivore Diet Journey Day 7 by Nnamdipapa(op): 5:29pm On Mar 12, 2025
The biggest part of this journey is not just the weight loss but the energy, I have same energy level from morning till night and, never feel tired. For the first time in my life, I had energy to spend two hours in the gym each day.

Also, my sleep quality has improved and I could easily wake up 6am and feel energetic and refreshed. I used to wake up around 9am feeling groggy and tired even after sleeping with the aid of sleeping pills.

The past 3 years, my blood pressure had hovered around 135/95 even after taking my pills, my doctor even had to improve my doze. Yesterday, my reading was around 99/75 and I have never felt more healthier in my life. My fasting glucose was 5.1mmol/L Yesterday and I have ditched all medications.
This is the single most important journey of my life.

Hmm, I showed hubby your posts. He don't have diabetes but don't eat healthy to my liking. It takes lots to convince him to change his diet.
He is interested. Gonna update you but I don't trust that man grin
So I made a bet with him to try it out for 2 weeks, I will monitor him.

My purpose of doing this is cos he has sweet tooth and don't joke with bread and chips. If what I'm looking for I get it, I will give it a try.
Well done

I may be wrong, but this seems like too much protein which can be bad for the body. Besides, there is a reason eating different varieties of food is called balanced diet.

Great thread, keep pushing 👍
Re: My Carnivore Diet Journey Day 7 by Nnamdipapa(op):
Yesterday, grilled Tuna in butter, a pork rib, four eggs with salt and pepper. I went back to the Avocado.

I was on 130, 95 trance for blood pressure the past two years, it changed withing a week of my diet.
It is a lie that black men are pre disposed to high blood pressure, A lie I believed for a long time until I realized the pharma industry wants to keep us perpetually medicated for profits.
The food industry want us to be addicted to junk processed food.

All my joint pain is gone and I was able to wake up 6am for the gym, I am maintaining the same energy from wake up time till night time, no fatigue, no craving for any kind of food.

Nope, these are natural protein, I am building muscles and working out and it has no adverse effect and I have done lots of research on the topic.

No I have not, this was yesterday.

I have never felt more energetic and healthier in my entire life and my productivity has shot through the roof plus, I don’t have to wait for the wife to cook for me again.

My blood pressure crashed to almost hypotension level from hyper.

I will be dining at a restaurant this evening and I am going to be very careful not to break my meal habits. I will only drink tequila and water with a medium rare steak.
The advantage of my diet is I only eat once a day and I am never hungry, I also never have cravings to snack or eat anything in between as it is the sugar in cards responsible for the cravings.

I have learnt that the purpose of food is not for enjoyment, rather to give our body the energy needed to function at our very best.

Three weeks ago, I weighed 205pounds, today, I am at 193pounds and counting. I do lots of exercises too and will give a comprehensive write up in my diary once I am less busy.
