Sometimes, I wonder if all the international agencies, like the ICC and Amnesty International, prefer to watch developing countries disintegrate in the name of the rule of law. For those who do not know, this president was fighting drug cartels head-on. He discovered that when the culprit are arrested, they usually found their way out of prison because of the enormous wealth their sponsors have. At a point, he decided that if a person was caught, he should be killed, no long story. I understand that the courts are supposed to be the body to jail them but these bodies also need to understand the peculiarities of certain situations. 8 Likes |
