Erm, Tinubu and the Akwa Ibom Governor are chummies. Akpabio has decimated opposition attempts for the Akwa Ibom Governor as he's also pals with Akpabio so in 2027, if everything remains the same, here's how it would go:

- Governorship: All support for the PDP Governor.
- Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District: PDP fields a weak candidate so Akpabio carries the day.
- Presidential election: I don't see the Governor throwing his weight behind a PDP candidate. It'd a free-for-all. Obi, the PDP, and Tinubu would slug it out.

I don't think PDP can bank on Akwa Ibom for the Presidential. And I don't think the State Governor is pumping as much money to PDP national body like Udom Emmanuel or Akpabio did.

Governors are also going to be more careful with deploying resources imho. The truth is that it was the center that was dashing money to run elections. Going as far as turning smaller parties to satellite parties. PDP has failed to adapt to living without money from the center.

I actually predicted the party would split after the elections because I cannot see wealthy SS politivos funding their northern cohorts who will then back stab them in the primaries.

Wike no be pesin but the way his friend tambuwal did him dirty will make anyone pause on financial support.

It's a mob thing. It's just an irate mob wanting the head of a representation of the ruling elite on a spike, the law, evidence and factuality be damned. It's not really about Akpabio but the idea of what he represents. Replace Akpabio with Orji Uzor Kalu or Seyi and it'd be the same reaction.

Bauchi will swing to APC in 2027, Pate will contest and win. Zamfara is another State in the north more likely to swing back to APC.

Kwankwanso gonna negotiate with PBAT cos Jubrin and Ganduje are bulldozing his structure almost on weekly basis now. He has lots to worry about than aligning with Atiku.

Ajobiewe of Osun is already working on defection to APC before the upcoming Governorship Election in the state. He is likely to seek 2nd term under the banner of APC.

Seyi Makinde gonna work for PBAT again in exchange for a PDP Candidate to succeed him. 2026 gonna be very much interesting. LOL!

Theflint1 brought Saraki here claiming Akpabio should step down because of the pending investigation but when the same Saraki was accused of sponsoring armed robbers in 2018, he didn't consider his advise and step down for the investigation to be concluded, I wasn't sure if Theflint1 insisted that Saraki should have stepped down at that time without adequate proof (Even though the robbers claimed Saraki sent them)

Now its Akpabio, SP of the hate APC, all the rules that he never advocated for are now to be opened on Akpabios head

Saraki's call was for due process, and not the Kangaroo affair they had with the ethics committee. He isn't asking for Akpabio to step down, as it'd be injustice to Akpabio that he steps down over what could be a false accusation.

I don't know about other states but I'm not sure if APC will see substantial votes from Enugu even if Obi is not on the ballot. The herdsmen crisis is escalating in Benue and Enugu. Make dem pray make dem match d same numbers wey dem get in 2023.

And your man is a bad guy. He's pinpointed and given strong opposition voices either appointments directly or to their relatives.

Here's exactly what the Akwa Ibom PDP Governor said on live television in September 2024 weeks to the LG elections while handing flags to PDP candidates:
"Campaign based on our achievements as a party in the state. Campaign based on what you will do. Do not attack the APC or the federal government or other political parties. No insults to them. Campaign only on what we have done and what you will do when elected. "

In return, Akpabio weakened the APC so they couldn't field LG candidates in most places, and he didn't campaign for them.

That was the day it became very obvious to me how 2027 was going to play out.

I am sure other ND state governors have similar pacts we don't know about.
