Well. It depends on you and how much this matters to you. You have already had a chance at doing it yourselves and now you need an expert to get past this and get your approval.

Your spouse in canada should reach out and ask around for certified immigration lawyers or Registered immigration consultants that can help out in this matter. Not immigration content creator o. A proper immigration lawyer/ consultant (RCIC) that can help you present a strong case. You don’t have so much time. If you want this , get a second opinion while you get all the detailed documents ready.


Again, pay attention to the dates in documents so that it aligns with your relationship history.

This is the only chance you have on this application to get this approval to be with your spouse. All the best.

Yes, a Nigerian traditional marriage can be accepted for Canadian spousal sponsorship, but the applicant needs to "go the extra mile" to demonstrate the legitimacy of the marriage and relationship.

If you are are doing spousal sponsorship you need a proper legal proof of marriage. Registry, marriage certificate. You can’t get past that. A traditional marriage has no legal documentation to it.

If you are using common law partner sponsorship then you dont require a marriage certificate but some other things and more documentation to prove your relationship.

Why don't you save yourself the stress and do court wedding. I doubt if IRCC will accept Trad wedding as legal civil marriage. You can as well submit your application under common law partner or conjugal partner whichever you so choose if you want to avoid "court wedding for reasons best known to you"

I will certainly go ahead, I was able to higher an Immigration consultant and I have been informed on what to do.. My wife is Canadian, My daughter is Canadian too and they all bear my Name.. We only didnt do court Marriage yet for some personal reason and will fix that later.. Thanks for your wishes

Sha do court if you don't want to pay the immigration consultant for the rest of your life and/or may attract a ban that you won't enter Canada for 5 years. Consultant wey want your money. If applying for spouse visa, please try to do court wedding for your own good. If not, opt for Common-law partner or Conjugal partner which ever your case might be.

However, with your information already registered in GCMS note, your only option is court wedding because anything else, makes your application suspicious and very questionable.

I think it’s within 30 days if the issue is not technical. If it’s a complex scenario it can take longer but if you don’t mind can you share what led to the PFL?

According to them the proof i submitted for my relationship is not sufficient to proof that my relationship is not for immigration purposes. So i was asked to provide additional documents to proof my relationship.

That’s not worrisome at all. The VO just needs to be convinced with further evidence of the relationship. Thank goodness it’s not a misrepresentation issue. You should get a response very soon.

Hi Guys ! After AOR is received, I would like to know where exactly do one attach the AOR while applying for Spousal sponsorship Visit visa? Where will one mention the AOR in the TRV application ? so Ircc can be aware?? I'll appreciate a response.
