The fact that mad men and women who have been roaming around various streets of the country have been alive for donkey years while people who eat healthy meals dies on a daily basis is something someone gat to sit around a round table with God to discuss in heaven when he/she dies angry
Eating healthy meals is not the only xteria for good health.
Like you said, one is roaming and exercising.
The other is a Potbelly Coach Potato, eating unhealthy meals all day..

Na we do ourselves with our horribly low expectations of government at all levels- local, state and federal as exhibited in the comments below.

anonimi:
Why should you limit governance to road repairs and not prioritise employment of workers by local and state governments to provide services and facilities MAINTENANCE as well as utilities like pipe borne water to every building?

Are low expectations citizens like you, with misplaced priorities a greater danger for our democracy than the leaders looters temporarily allowed into government huh

Don't mind them oooo, the data is not correct. Average is 70 considering physical evidence from our individual communities.

I'm curious to know how the life expectancy of 54.6 years in Nigeria was determined. It seems questionable, as many Nigerians live well beyond 54 years. It seems like someone just pulled this number out of thin air and labeled it as Nigeria's life expectancy, and others blindly believe it. In my opinion, the average life expectancy in Nigeria is between 60 to 65 years.

Peace!

😆 🤣....that number is correct. Bias of myopia, restricting ones knowledge to a small sample that one is familiar with is your problem. Thinking the people you see crossing 65years as a represetative of a whole population is an argument deficieny

check any global or international agency website with demographic details of all world countries, Nigeria has a low life expectancy rate.

Go to the general hospitals or teaching hospitals and you will realise it.

The problem here is Nigerians no longer have access to adequate ration and lots of people especially the youth prefer processed food to eating natural foods like ugwu leave, cocoa yam and fruits

Steve Jobs apple founder died early too , and he's a billionaire and an american citizen. It is true that you can live longer in western countries , but it doesn't mean they don't die early too !!

You provided an elaborate response without addressing my query. I specifically questioned how the life expectancy of 54.6 years in Nigeria was determined. Referring me to websites of international agencies or general hospitals does not answer my question.

It's unclear how these agencies arrived at the 54.6-year figure. Using only data from general or teaching hospitals within the country may not accurately represent the overall life expectancy. Other factors should be considered when determining this figure. Please suggest a more reasonable method for assessing life expectancy.

Peace!

My friend, you must have a serious reasoning issue if a statistic is shown to be universally accepted by all agencies of the world that have the wherewithal to validate, test and review statistics. UN or WHO woukd not take any dtatistic that they believe is questionable.

You are the one that needs to reveiw your reasoning processes.

I might sound a bit harsh. But the truth need to be told .....

Over 80% consumables in Nigeria are either fake , expired or substandard....
Look at fake drugs everywhere.....which I believe should be over 90% .

Do you know that majority food prepared by mamaput and some restaurants. They use spoiled tomatoes, pepper ?
Nigerians also consume adulterated palm oil.

Zero hygiene, drink sachet water that is produce in an unhygienic environment. ....

Look at living conditions of most Nigerians, living in dirty environment ....

The ones that stay up to 90-98 years are the bad leaders, they tend to grow real old, because they have all the money to travel abroad for general checkup.
Few good ones stay up to 65-73 years.
But the heavenly ones will stay less than 65 years..
