Now the truth is beginning to come out. If Dangote hadn't reduced his, this would not have happened. We may even still pay subsidy.
What you are seeing happening in oil sector is as a result of deregulation of the said sector not because dangote is benevolent to decrease PMS prices. Both dangote and importers are responding to market forces.
My brother, you need to read and learn widely so that you make informed opinion and not like an illiterate market woman in the village.

If there's no importation, Dangote will not reduce its price. Competition is good for Nigerians.
If importation is allowed for Cement, a bag would be sold below 4000.

Don't you understand the difference between subsided fuel and free market fuel.
Let's hope that your kids in primary school are able to differentiate between the two.

My brother, you need to read and learn widely so that you make informed opinion and not like an illiterate market woman in the village.
And you need to use your common sense to know you are in Nigeria where market forces don't determine anything except a few cabals. Yes you may have knowledge but still be foolish when you can't apply it as wisdom. This is Nigeria. Where have you seen market forces determine anything? If market forces could determine the price of PMS, why has it steadily increase post Goodluck Jonathan when oil prices have actually fallen? Someone has come to challenge them and that someone has capacity. If the refinery was just a 60kbpd refinery, they won't even flinch. They will continue to lie to us that the landing cost of petrol was N1,300 as this was the narrative before and then exchange rate was at N1,700. Now at N1,500, the landing cost is now N770... Oga, don't be literate but foolish. It's not market forces but a person.

Abeg shut up. It's not by force to comment.

What is happening is result of supply and demand and the effect of the free market in the downstream sector. No business man will do business at a loss. The price reduction will keep happening so far global crude oil price keep crashing and these importers and Dangote still have room to wiggle with respect to profit.

Elemi lo ma last. Meaning "only the strong will survive".

When Tinubu said something to that effect last year during his media chat, he knew what he was saying. But as always, majority failed to pay attention (like they always do) to concentrate on irrelevant stuff.

And what do you mean by "What is important is for the regulator to stop this importations before it creepies Nigeria Economy"

Lmaoooo. It's either you are slow or you doing the dirty work for Dangote. Lol. So we should stop importation of PMS so Dangote can roam free to fleece Nigerians like he does with his cement business and how our local farmers r@aped us for years?
If global oil prices decreasing is putting Nigerian economy at risk and petrol might increase might increase astronomically.

Is it not beneficial now? Let them keep importing, as naira appreciates, the price will keep falling...

Dangote and nnpc will do the needful to stay afloat in the market.

The competition is healthy, just that in Nigeria, the more you look, the less you see.
Which competition is healthy!
Borrowing dollar loans to import expensive substandard petrol from Europe and subsidizing secretly.
