Ijaw owns rivers. Others are on the minority side. Impeachment will be the last thing. That's how they'd be managing each other till the end of his tenure. Note this, there's a merger coming and the pdp will fizzle.

The system of democracy we practice was designed by the American founding fathers who knew very well that absolute power corrupts absolutely. So they designed a system that will check tyranny by having three separate arms of government .

Fubara was under the delusions that as a governor he had the powers of an emperor . I don't blame Fubara because , this has been the case for most states since 1999 with state governors exhibiting full tyranny and suppressing the legislative branch.


Democracy is a process that can be defined as one involving continuous dialogue and negotiations between the 3 arms for the maximum benefit of the electorate.

It's good that Fubara now realizes that he wasn't coronated to be the absolute monarch of Rivers state but rather a civilian executive administrator who is expected to be guided by the constitution he swore to uphold during his swearing-in ceremony.
