I can recall in Primary School, we read how Usman Dan Fodio invaded and waged wars against indigenous peoples of Northern Nigeria, removed their Kings and installed Emirs.

Today's kids are not aware.

The last administration banned history from the school at all level, it was recently reinstated after petition upon petition and constant hammering on the government before they finally caved in

The emphasis is on "basic education"

So if you get it , you know I'm right that History was never banned. What happened was when the education system changed to 6334, history was no longer offered at basic level

Look I wrote history as a subject in WAEC, the university I attended offers BA in history, so how can history be banned and people still study it.
Don't be confused, history was just no longer offered at the basic level (primary school to junior secondary school) , it was never banned
